Addiction is my Superpower…

It is also my Kryptonite

I have an addictive personality

I have always thought this was my biggest weakness

It led me to substance abuse

Depression

And wallowing in pain

I became addicted to pain and suffering

My life was at rock bottom

After I was injured on the job

Fired

And destroyed lots of relationships in my life

I started fighting back against this

As I kept going

I was able to get my substance abuse under control

My life started to improve

I realize I could control this behavior

Then it clicked

My addictive personality was good

It was my superpower.

I am not gifted, physically, mentally, or spiritually

But I always was the hardest worker in the room

It’s why I had become successful

Deepened my faith

And could work so hard

My addiction can be harnessed

With discipline and self-control

To dominate my life

It was a gift of God

But like all gifts

We can abuse it and use it for sin

But when we focus it on good

Then we will be blessed

Your ADHD, addictive personality, etc.

Have probably been framed as a negative

But that is just because we allow this to drive

Our behavior rather than control it

These are gifts from God

BELIEVE IT!
