Fall brings such beautiful colors and tastes, especially with Thomcord grapes from Cosentino Farms in San Jose, the last family orchard. Beautiful blooms grown by Blue Heron Farms. I’m loving the dahlias, sunflowers and globe thistle for their texture and complimentary colors. J&P Cosentino Family Farm Blue Heron Farm

5 Event planning mistakes

1. Ordering 2 weeks before.
This isn’t enough time to reserve your event flowers. There is a shortage with many people postponing their 2019 and 2020 events to this year.

#2 You want white flowers
Sorry but if you haven’t ordered at least one month in advance your white wedding plans may be a bust. There were lots of brides in tears.

#3 You want trendy neutral flowers
Colors like n**e, blush, off white and lavenders are in high demand. You should order and pay 3-6 months in advance. Be prepared for substitutions.

#4 You want it like the picture

Your Pinterest pics are launching off point. Your florist will interpret the picture with their own style and available flower product

#5 You want this exact container

Be prepared for container substitutions. There are major container delays and shortages. My containers I ordered in April for Mother’s Day have still not arrived.

Plan ahead. Tag a friend and save this post.
