For more than 25 years, two amazing men have been an important part of the Cops 4 Kids & Communities family and the SoCal Battle Of The Badges.

A very special thank you goes out to Chava Espinoza and Lorenzo Rodriguez for their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and commitment to our youth and our fighters.

Both Chava and Lorenzo have served as coaches for the Cops 4 Kids & Communities Youth Boxing Club, helping guide, mentor, and inspire countless young athletes over the years. Their impact reaches far beyond the boxing ring, teaching discipline, respect, confidence, and perseverance to the youth they work with.

Every year at the SoCal Battle Of The Badges, these two gentlemen are right there in the trenches, ensuring every fighter is properly wrapped and taped before stepping into the ring. Fighter safety is always our top priority, and their expertise, attention to detail, and care help make that possible.

What makes Chava and Lorenzo truly special is not only their knowledge of boxing but the quality of their character. They are humble, selfless, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. They never seek recognition, yet they deserve every bit of it.

Words cannot adequately express how blessed I am to have these two incredible men on our team. Their loyalty, friendship, and years of service have helped shape the success of our youth boxing program and the SoCal Battle Of The Badges.

Today I want to give a very special shout-out to two incredible women who have been the backbone of so many successful events for Cops 4 Kids & Communities and the SoCal Battle of the Badges—Patsy Maxwell and Diana Derner!

Over the years, these amazing volunteers have dedicated countless hours to supporting our mission and helping make our events a success. Whether it’s organizing event shirts, serving as liaisons for sponsors and vendors, assisting with event logistics, or taking on whatever task needs to be done, Patsy and Diana always step up with a smile and a positive attitude.

What makes them so special is their willingness to do whatever is needed. No job is too big, no assignment is too small, and no challenge is ever met without their commitment, professionalism, and heart for the community.

Volunteers like Patsy and Diana are the reason organizations like ours can continue making a difference in the lives of youth and families throughout our community. Their dedication, loyalty, and passion for serving others never go unnoticed.
