Happy New Year! Bonne et Heureuse Année 2026 to The French Class community and friends !!! Almost exactly 34 years ago, The French Class opened its doors with a handful of students. What a legacy we built together! Thank you for your loving support over the years, your friendship, your sense of humor, and everything else you shared with us. Une ratatouille facile - An easy ratatouille
Ingrédients
un oignon/onion
de l'ail/garlic
un poivron vert/a green pepper
un poivron rouge/a red pepper
un poivron jaune/a yellow pepper
4 courgettes/4 zucchinis
une aubergine/1 eggplant
4 tomates
une boîte de tomates coupées biologiques/one can of diced organic tomatoes
de l'eau /water
du sel et du poivre/salt and pepper
des herbes de provence
La préparation
Faire revenir l'oignon haché dans un peu d'huile d'olive / Sauté the chopped onion in a little bit of olive oil
Ajouter l'ail
Ajouter les poivrons coupés en petits morceaux
Ajouter les courgette coupées en petits morceaux
Ajouter l'aubergine coupée en petits morceaux
Ajouter les tomates coupées en petits morceaux
Bien mélanger
Ajouter boîte de tomates coupées et de l'eau, plus ou moins selon le jus que vous souhaitez obtenir/add more or less water depending on how juicy you'd like your ratatouille to be
Faire cuire à feu doux et remuer régulièrement/Let simmer and mix regularly.
Tuyaux pour augmenter le plaisir de cuisiner: mettez votre musique préférée et versez votre boisson préférée dans un beau verre et/ou invitez un(e) amie pour partager ce moment
Tips to make cooking more enjoyable: put your favorite music on and pour your favorte drink in a beautiful glass and/or have a friend over to share this moment
Servir avec riz et des pois chiches comme accompagnement/Serve with rice and garbanzo beans as a side

Une soupe de légumes facile - An easy vegetable soup
Ingrédients
un oignon/onion
2 poireaux /leeks
4 carottes
1 pomme de terre/potato
du sel et du pooivre/salt and pepper
de l'eau / water
La préparation
Faire revenir l'oignon haché dans un peu d'huile d'olive / Sauté the chopped onion in a little bit of olive oil
Ajouter les poireaux hachés / Add the chopped leeks
Ajouter les carottes coupées en petits morceaux / Add the carrots cut in small pieces
Ajouter de l'eau, du sel et du poivre / Add water, salt and pepper
Now I have to find ten people who would like to eat from this big pot!
