Whether pursuing a career as a game designer, game programmer, 3D modeler, concept artist, or UI/UX designer, you will get hands-on experience creating a professional-quality art and game design or programming portfolio, as well as opportunities to collaborate with other students to produce fun and memorable video games.

GDC Industry Talk at ArtU 🎮 Students heard directly from industry leaders at CyberConnect, Virtuos Games, Tencent Games, and 2K Games, gaining insight into careers in game development, creativity, and the future of the video game industry. Events like this connect our game design students with real industry professionals and career opportunities in gaming.

Instead of spotlighting just one student, we’re highlighting a full Spring Show project — and the amazing team behind it.

💥 BRAWLER is a 2D beat-em-up game concept brought to life through stunning character design, animation, and gameplay logic by students across disciplines.
It was originally created in the Collaboration Studio class and later submitted to the 2023 Spring Show!

The 14th Annual Rookie Awards is accepting submissions! The Rookie Awards is the world's largest contest for aspiring creatives in games, animation, visual effects, immersive media, motion graphics and 3D visualization. Fellow Academy students have either won or placed in this competition in previous years so don't miss your chance to showcase your creative works to industry heavyweights and influencers, receive badges and certificates, connect with other young artists and more! We wish you all good luck in the contest!

This semester, Art U's Game Studio brings you something a little darker. Come hear from Game Development students on the creation of the isometric hack-and-slash game, "Teeth".

Sink deeper into the maw and grind... your.... TEETH.

Teeth is an action PC game that was created in the department's collaborative Game Studio class where 3D Art, Concept Art, and Game Design students use their combined skillsets to create various games and industry projects in a studio environment.
