BIO: Agatha “Agatron” Rupniewski is a Polish-American strutter/popper/robot/mannequin/mime who has done performance on stage & street from the time she was introduced to popping by her teacher Steve at 17 in 2002. Since then, she has performed for a wide variety of events & venues in Vancouver BC, Portland, OR, Bay Area, Los Angeles (2012), & Las Vegas (2014). In 2010 Agatron came up from the unde
rground popping scene into the mainstream all-styles scene to create Dream Come True: All Female Battle & Showcase with 300 people in attendance. Agatron created 3 more all women battles, 2 in Oakland & 1 popping battle in Warsaw, Poland. Since moving to San Francisco California in 2006, she continues to keep up her passion & involvement in the Boogaloo, Robotting, Strutting, Popping & Turfing communities in the Bay Area & LA through her performance, graphic design, & organizational work. She encourages all students of strutting, popping, & turfing to go to Fisherman’s Wharf to meet all the OG’s, street perform on Powell Street with the young turfers, and regularly attending any boogaloo, popping, strutting, or turfing jams or classes. Agatron actively works to invite & encourage more women representation in the boogaloo strutting, popping, & turfing scenes. Her influences include Spacewalker, PopTart, OG Boardman, Granny Robotroid, Pandora, AmDoll, Killa Kita, Diva Dava, Aquamarine, Angyil, Plik Plok, & Pennywise. She is currently a member of BRS as well as works with men & women such as: Aquamarine, Safira, Ugochi, Obiamaka, Anastasia, and Johnny Rawkit.
