It’s never too soon to start spreading some holiday cheer!

Our Holiday Toy Drive is officially underway, and we’re inviting our community to help make the holidays a little brighter for children and families served by Wu Yee Children’s Services.

We’re collecting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0–5, with gifts for children up to age 12 also welcome. Suggested gift values are $10–$40.

Play, learn, and connect with your community this October! 🍂💛

Come join us at Wu Yee Children’s Services’ Bayview Hub for free activities and opportunities for families with children ages 0–5 to learn, play, and build connections together.

Check out the October calendar for Play Zone hours, playgroup schedules, and any holiday or program closures for families with children ages 0–5. Please note the Bayview Hub will be closed on October 12th and 23rd.

Wu Yee Children’s Services families recently received free car seat inspections and replacements through a partnership with UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital’s Child Passenger and Pedestrian Safety Program, UCSF Emergency Medicine, the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the California Office of Traffic Safety.

Certified technicians helped families make sure car seats were properly fitted and provided new seats at no cost when existing seats were expired, recalled, or no longer the right fit.

We’re grateful to our partners for helping make important safety resources more accessible to the children and families we serve.

Last week, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of Wu Yee Children’s Services’ Mission Children’s Hub at The Women’s Building.

The Hub brings together resources, support, and opportunities for children, families, and early childhood professionals, all in one welcoming space in the heart of the Mission.

Yesterday, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of Wu Yee Children’s Services’ Mission Children’s Hub! 🎉

We were honored to welcome Mayor Daniel Lurie, community partners from MNC and The Women’s Building, families, and supporters to celebrate this new space.

The Hub brings together early childhood services, family support, child care resources, and workforce development opportunities for children, families, and early childhood professionals in the Mission.

This week, students from the University of San Francisco’s School of Nursing and Health Professions visited our Lok Yuen Early Learning Center to learn more about how we support the health, safety and well-being of young children.

Students explored our health and safety practices, learned about nutrition guidelines and spent time playing and connecting with our little learners.

We’re glad to welcome future health professionals into our classrooms and share more about the work that helps young children thrive!
