Last Thursday, we said goodbye to Tatisza and Douglas🥹🥹

Even though they were only with us for a short time, they brought so much positive energy to our school. Douglas and his wife always joined activities with a smile, and Tatiza made our community even more lively as a returning student.

This week, we said goodbye to Yusuzu 🇯🇵 and Mikey 🇷🇺 after completing 43 weeks and 13 weeks of study!

Mikey always brought passionate energy and fun to every class, while Yusuzu’s kindness and warm personality made everyone feel welcome 💙 We’ll miss you both so much!

We also had our weekly raffle game 🎟️ Congratulations to all the winners this week 🎁

Special congratulations to Nick for becoming Student of the Week for the second time 🌟 Thanks for always being active, positive, and bringing amazing energy to class!

✨ Alcatraz Adventure with Our Students! 🚢🏝️
This month, our students took a trip to Alcatraz Island together!
Matheus, Leo, Kumiko, Yusuzu, Nick, Pojung enjoyed the ferry ride, explored the island, and made lots of fun memories together 📸

One of the best parts of visiting Alcatraz is the amazing audio tour 🎧
It makes the experience feel so real and immersive while you walk through the historic prison.

Our school organizes this activity about once a month, and it’s always one of the students’ favorite experiences in San Francisco 🌉

✨ Student Activity Recap ✨

Yesterday’s Taco Tuesday ($3 tacos and $1 margaritas!!) activity was a huge success at Undersogs Cantina by the baseball park! Students enjoyed a fun, cheap evening in San Francisco and lots of great conversations.

Activities like these are a great way for students to practice English naturally, meet new friends, and experience local culture outside of class. It was wonderful to see everyone connecting and having such a positive time together. The Giants beating the Dodgers was also a nice bonus!

Well we did not have graduates this week (everyone is staying!), but we did have a fantastic Student of the Week who also picked up a weekly raffle prize gift card for Local Roots. Yesterday, Michigan defeated UConn to win the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship and Luisa won our March Madness Bracket Pool with the most points for correct winning picks in the tournament! Congrats to Luisa for picking up an Amazon e-gift card voucher for her picks!

This was a big graduation day at EC San Francisco with our Koreans heading out to their internships now! New arrivals joined our Teacher Linda on a walk this past Sunday through San Francisco! So great to have Ruben, Hui, and our two Fernandos starting with us this week! Welcome to EC and San Francisco!

Congratulations to this week's graduates, Tanja and Hina! We loved having you guys here and perhaps we see you again in the near future! Tanja, enjoy your California travels. Hina, have fun this summer before work starts in the fall!

Last Friday, a group of us all enjoyed some great weather and sunshine and visited the Spark Social food truck parklet near Chase Center. There's so many great food/drink options and great spaces to relax and hang out. Afterwards, I took students to the nearby rooftop bar, Cavana, for some spectacular views of San Francisco's southside and the entire bay! Great way to start a beautiful weekend!

Students joined Robert on a ferry boat to cross the bay and visit Alameda on a beautiful St. Patrick's Day for great beer and burgers at the Alameda Brewery! Great times, and so glad we get to enjoy some great weather this week!!!

Great to have Kumiko join us this week as she took an orientation walk through town with our Teacher Linda. It's been a week of beautiful weather in the SF bay area and looking forward to a lot of nice days this week as Kumiko begins her studies with us!

Welcome our new arrivals this week--Flavia, Alyssa, and Zou. They joined the Sunday walking tour with Linda this week for a nice walk around town.

So great to have you studying here with us and looking forward to a fun few weeks!

A big thanks to our Teacher Phan for making an appointment to set up a unique visit to the infamous 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, the largest federal appellate court in the country! Great visit and a very unique experience for our students to visit a real, working court at the highest level behind the Supreme Court.

Had a great group of Brazilian graduates this week! Claudio, Hilton, and Gabriella, so great to have you here with us and we will miss you three! Congratulations, too, to Hilton for being our Student of the Week in his final week of studies with us! Safe travels and stay in touch! Enjoy those weekends, everyone!!!
