This Saturday, March 13th, and Sunday, March 20th, we'll be answering your questions about the i-STEM Scholars Summer Research Program via Instagram, here at instagram! Reminder that we are currently accepting applications at bit.ly/istem2021app - check out our previous post for more info. ✨

Feel free to ask questions via the question sticker, and we'll answer them via IG stories on Saturday, March 13th. We'll also be hosting an IG LIVE on Saturday, March 20th at 6-7PM PST/9-10PM EST. Drop by to ask your questions and chat with i-STEM team members and our program alumni! If you have any lingering questions, feel free to send them via DM as well!

Our i-STEM Scholars Summer Research Program is currently accepting applications - visit bit.ly/istem2021app for more information! For 10 weeks during the summer, students will be connected with a professional Research Mentor to learn about STEM research. We serve high school students from first generation, low income, underrepresented minority, and otherwise minoritized backgrounds (i.e. students of color, women, LGBTQ+ students, disabled students, etc).

📣 This Friday, October 23rd, come join us on at STEMchats Speaker Series Webinar featuring Andrew Basilio, a 4th-year candidate in biomedical engineering at Columbia University. This free will be hosted on Zoom from 5:00-6:30 PM PDT/8:00-9:30 PM EDT. RSVP here through Eventbrite for the meeting link!

🧠 In this online webinar, Andrew Basilio will be presenting "My Journey Through STEM" as a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University. Prior to his current status, he completed his BS and MS in at UCSD. Between completion of his BS and MS, he worked at Illumina as a systems engineer. On Friday, he will highlight his work and research in the field of traumatic brain injury. Attendees will be able to ask him questions in a live Q&A.
