Prior to joining the ACLU, she served as the General Counsel for the University of California Hastings College of the Law for 15 years, where she defended UC Hastings Law in Christian Legal Society v. The Center for Litigation and Courts Advisory Board includes Judge Edward Davila, a longtime federal judge sitting in the Northern District of California. Before being appointed to the federal bench, Judge Davila was a judge on the Superior Court of California for Santa Clara County, a litigator in private practice, and a Deputy Public Defender in Santa Clara County.
