Celebrate Cherry Blossom Family Day with the National Archives and the Japan Information and Culture Center on Saturday, March 25!

Join us at the National Archives Museum on Saturday, March 25, from 11 am to 2:30 pm ET for a fun-filled day of interactive activities in the Boeing Learning Center and celebrating cherry blossoms. The planting of cherry trees in Washington D.C. originated in 1912 as a gift of friendship to the people of the United States from the people of Japan. Learn more about this gift and other fun ways nations express their friendship, cooperation, and goodwill. Professional calligraphy artist Kazuko Carper will lead a demonstration at 1 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
