Your attachment styles are an important part in how you operate in your life in relationship to self, and outwardly with others in relationship.
Knowing your attachment style can help you better understand your strong impulses and needs to attach to someone that might not be good for you, but it feels so familiar. This attachment style came from your childhood, your parental setup and environment that gave you this attachment style, you know the saying you're attracted to your mother/father.. It stems from the childhood attachment to your parents.
If there was trauma in your childhood, see the diagram "what could also cause trauma" it's easy to asses that simple things can crate upset and deep emotional hurt and pain.. we all have suffered one of these situations.. and then leads to negative beliefs.. that we also attached to us and we carry around with us...

I love to fly I Jumped out of small plane, on static line. at 17yrs old.. fearless and free ..this was me on my birthday many years latter feeling free.. as I do dancing and expressing myself. my true authentic self.. i'm a very confident and sell assured women now, but I was not for man many years ..
