California Assemblymember Heather Hadwick joins us in celebrating AVID Day! 💙💛

Representing California’s 1st Assembly District, Assemblymember Hadwick helps us recognize the students, educators, alumni, and communities who make AVID’s impact possible.

We’re grateful to have leaders across the country celebrating the power of opportunity, education, and student success with us.

Today is ! 🎓✨

At SunRidge Middle School, our 6th-grade AVID students are brand new to the program, but they are already building the skills needed to be college- and career-ready! From critical thinking and organization to collaboration and self-advocacy, we are so proud of the growth they show every day.

Here is a quick look at what our 6th graders are saying:

"Because of AVID, I..."
"...learned to take notes, be organized, and stay focused." — Ezekiel
"...now have a goal I can achieve." — Destiny
"...am more organized and my notes are neat." — Helena
"...take notes for studying and stay organized for future events." — Kayla
"...know how to take notes and get 100% on quizzes!" — Drew
Today, we join schools across the country in celebrating the power of educators and students working together to expand access and opportunity. Thank you to our amazing staff and students for their hard work and dedication! 💙
