Good morning, as many of you know, I continue to work to complete my fourth Culinary Ghost Story Mystery. It is a Christmas story that takes place in a small town in the mountains of West Virginia. As a result, I am working hard to find traditional WV Winter recipes to go into my story. I am near the end of the story and am trying to arrange a collection of dishes for their final feast. My friend Andy, and Brenda Hypes Agnew told me that their family have enjoyed fried oysters at Christmas time. So, I am researching recipes on line, but wondered if any body out there has any suggestions regarding recipes to add to this final feast that may smack of West Virginia Cuisine please note, I already have a good pepperoni roll recipe... LOL Everyone always asks. Anyway, if you have some ideas regarding an additional Christmas dish let me know, and any tips for fried oysters would be good too. Many Thanks

Its that time of year again, Hampshire Honey Bee is Sponsoring a Scarecrow Competition. As always, we have enough supplies to make 10 fantastic scarecrows. You can also bring your own supplies. But First Place wins $50. Second Place wins $35 and Third, $25 This event will be held in conjunction with the Empty Bowls Auction, at the Coop. So, you can glaze a bowl for a good cause then come outside and build a scarecrow. The link I'm attaching shows me and Madison Corbin building a scarecrow a few years back. Little has changed with scarecrow making... it was fun making our very silly video. It was the year of the 17 year locust.. https://youtu.be/9FpFCiVUP_g?si=P41VwIM72sj04wCZ
