Most athletes don’t stay stuck because they lack talent.
They stay stuck because they’re living in The Gap. 📉
❌The Gap is what happens when an athlete constantly measures themselves against perfection… where they think they should be… or against other players.
⚠️That mindset creates pressure.
And pressure creates overthinking, fear, frustration, tension, and inconsistency.
But elite performers learn to live in The Gain.📈
✅The Gain is measuring progress instead of perfection.
It’s focusing on growth instead of failure.📊
It’s building confidence through evidence instead of emotion.
That shift changes everything.🚀
Because what you measure shapes how you perform.
If you’re an athlete (or parent) who knows there’s more inside—but frustration keeps getting in the way—this framework will hit home.
I created a free mental performance blueprint that goes deeper into The Gap vs The Gain and how athletes can compete with more confidence, clarity, and freedom.

Most hitters work as hard as one can on their swing.. 🤩
But they’re still late. Still fooled. Still inconsistent. 🤯😢
Here’s what nobody’s talking about —
It’s not your mechanics. It’s what your brain is receiving before your swing ever starts.
A 95 MPH fastball reaches home plate in .395 seconds. Faster than a blink. And at some point in that flight, you go completely blind.
The hitters who consistently barrel the ball aren’t reacting faster.
They’re seeing it earlier and with clarity.
There’s a visual system that great MLB hitters use — backed by real research — that most athletes have never been taught. And once you understand it, everything changes.
✅ Your timing
✅ Your recognition
✅ Your confidence at the plate.
I put it all into a free guide called The Vision Mastery Blueprint— and I’m giving it away right now.
I also added a 5 question self-evaluation quiz about your current visual plan and ex*****on

What if your inconsistency has nothing to do with your talent?
Most athletes train harder. They just never train smarter.
Here’s what nobody tells you: practice and repetition aren’t building “muscle memory.” They’re literally programming your brain — through neuroplasticity — to control what your body does in the box, automatically, under pressure.
That means if you’re training with poor mechanics, you’re not just grooving bad habits.
You’re downloading a virus.
And no amount of extra reps will fix it.
That’s exactly why I built The Standout Slugger — a 12-week mentorship for serious baseball athletes who are done playing small and ready to become the player they know they can be.
Here’s the reality:
Only 8.1% of high school athletes go on to play college baseball. Fewer than 2-4% reach D1.
If you’re not doing something to stand out — you won’t.
In this mentorship, I help athletes align the three things that actually separate good hitters from great ones:
⚾ Natural Mechanics
🧠 Mindset
👁️ Vision
Train all three. Or stay stuck.
I’m currently opening 5 spots in the program.
If you’re ready to stop guessing and start becoming —

While most are seeking perfection and quickly disappointed, seeking excellence is the target that needs to be the aim..
The formula for Excellence is:
Purpose + Competence + Accountability
✅ Purpose is why you do what you do
✅ Competence is your ability to execute your tasks
✅ Accountability is taking responsibility for your actions, behaviors and outcomes
If you take just one of these 3 pillars out of the equation, you’ll never reach excellence..
Success leaves clues

We all wish we could go back with the wisdom we’ve earned the hard way.
Here’s what I know now: having the right mentor at the right time doesn’t just help — it changes everything.
I heard Ed Mylett say something that stopped me cold when he spoke here in San Diego:
“You are most qualified to help the person you used to be.”
That hit me square in the face.
I needed to become the coach I desperately needed as a 16-year-old kid — when colleges and scouts were watching my every move and I had no idea how to handle it.
That realization changed how I coach. And it changed how I live.
I brought in spiritual and transformational coaches to help me grow in ways I didn’t even know I needed. What I found on the other side was a completely new perspective — on baseball, on life, on what it actually takes to perform when it matters most.
Here’s the truth I wish someone had told me sooner:
Doing more and working harder isn’t the answer. Becoming more is.
When I signed with the Atlanta Braves at 18 and headed into Rookie ball, I had zero mental preparation. I just showed up and hoped for the best.
No resilience training. No tools for handling failure. No one teaching me how to be the athlete I was trying to become.
Had I found a mentor earlier — one who helped me build the identity to match the talent — that version of me plays a long time in the Major Leagues.
So I put together the 5 things I’d tell my 18-year-old rookie self.
Because if I can’t help you transform the way you think and who you believe you are — I’m wasting your time.

The Great Zig Ziglar said many times:
“Success is what happens when opportunity meets preparation”.
This is such a powerful statement. 🔥
How you prepare determines your destination. 🚀📈📊
You can’t expect to be a high performer if you’re not preparing with optimal techniques fundamentally, mechanically, and mentally…
As I always say, you practice with a purpose!! Why are you doing what you do??
When you’re preparing and practicing, you are rehearsing how you will perform in the game.
You’re building habits in your brain and nervous system with every repetition you take .
Do you want to program optimal habits that move the need to make progress, or do you want to use poor techniques and program poor habits that keep you stuck in mediocrity?
The choice is yours.. 💰🔌⌛️🔋
