This grad stopped by the yard recently, and it was a great reminder of why we do this work!

AJ passed his DMV test on a Friday and was flying out to start with Melton Truck Lines, Inc by Sunday. He came back to talk with current students about what got him there: listening to instructors and putting in the work even when the material got tough. Watch the video to hear him tell it firsthand.

We're hiring a CDL Instructor at our San Diego campus! Instructors teach pre-trip inspections, air brakes, backing maneuvers, and public road driving, and help prepare students for their DMV skills exam.

The role is home every night, a solid fit for drivers ready to trade the road for a classroom and yard. A Class A CDL, clean driving record, and at least 3 years of commercial driving experience are required. A passenger endorsement is a plus. Apply here: https://ow.ly/qKhk50Zu1J5

Backing a 53-foot trailer into a dock isn't something most people can do on day one. That's the point.

Watching our students go from their first attempt to a clean, controlled maneuver is one of the clearest signs that the training is working. It doesn't happen overnight, but it happens.

This is what the progression looks like.

Pre-trip inspection starts under the hood, and our instructors make sure every student knows exactly what they're looking at.

Learning to identify engine components, fluid levels, and potential issues before every drive is part of what the CDL skills test requires. We build that knowledge in from the start.

This is what training looks like at United Truck Driving School.
