From Peru to Aspen—and from learning leadership to living it. 🎓
For Cielo Rodas, earning her MBA in Management and Leadership at Alliant wasn’t simply about adding another degree to her résumé. It was about becoming the kind of leader she hopes to be.
Originally from Peru, Cielo earned her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management before moving to the U.S. In 2024, she began her journey at The St. Regis Aspen Resort as a Rooms Operations Trainee. Since then, she’s grown through roles in Rooms and Housekeeping, recently stepping into a new role as Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
"One of the most valuable parts of my MBA experience was being able to apply what I was learning directly to my career. Completing my MBA while continuing to grow professionally in the U.S. has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey. It taught me a lot about discipline, perseverance, leadership, and believing in my own growth."
Now, she hopes to create workplaces where employees feel supported, motivated and empowered to grow—while delivering memorable experiences for guests.
Her advice to fellow students? "Be consistent, stay open to learning, and take every opportunity seriously. Sometimes growth does not happen immediately, but every experience teaches you something. Work hard, ask questions, build good relationships, and do not be afraid to step outside your comfort zone."
