MAJOR OCTAVES - 6TH STRING (EIGHTH FRET ROOT)

QUESTION: Did you find it easier or harder to play octaves from the 6th to the 1st strings?

(EXAMPLE: I think if I want incorporate open strings it's easier, but if I'm going for more of a "funk" type of feel it's super hard to get that point)

QUESTION: Do you find it hard muting multiple strings at a time when playing octaves?

(EXAMPLE: It is a little weird, but I've been trying not to make my strumming so wide like I would with a chord)
