Monarch School Project began with a simple question:
Why were brilliant students missing school?
 
The answer wasn’t motivation — it was homelessness.
 
Since 1987, we’ve built a school designed around what students actually need to thrive: dignity, stability, and opportunity — all on one campus.
And it works.
✨ 98% of Monarch alumni have stable housing
✨ 95% are in school and/or employed

Our approach is evidence-based and student-centered. In partnership with the University of San Diego, we study how belonging, safety, and agency drive attendance, academic success, and graduation — and we use what we learn to keep improving.
