Today, I began a post about something which has been weighing on my mind since Friday morning. As soon as I composed the first draft, I realized this was something which needed a broader audience if what is happening is going to be taken seriously.

Today I am celebrating another Solar Return, birth day, start of my personal new year, etc.

It is kind of a milestone - I am 45. I am a few short years from outliving my own mother. That is a scary point to reach for Motherless Daughters.

Last year, was filled with many highs and lows. In the Spring, I married my true soul mate, the Yang to my Yin. In the Summer, I began to deal with some serious health issues & lost my grandfather. In the Autumn, we bought a house & began that new chapter in our lives. In the Winter, business plans were being planted & in my personal life, things leveled out & we began to relax into our Life & new found community. Now, I am working on creating my own road map for this year, waiting for major surgery to be scheduled & continuing the difficult work of grieving & growing.

As I stand here at the threshold of my new year, it is amazingly the first in many which is actually filled with Love, support, family (both by blood & by choice), and multiple safety nets. I have never been more prepared and more scared to walk the next section of my Life’s Journey than I am today. I am giving reflection to my past & re-examining the choices which helped me arrive where I am now. I believe it is healthy to keep in touch with our roots & carry through the doorways of Life the tools which serve us & provide us what we truly need on each new leg of our Life’s Journey. So, I take take stock of what I need, feel all the hands in mind, shine with my inner Light, take a deep cleansing breath AND walk confidently through the open door the Universe has presented me with today.

2014 has finally said its "Goodbye"s and we are all trying to figure out how to navigate 2015. Emily & I are fortunate enough to have a wonderful community of friends to help us create the world we envision for ourselves and those around us. During the last few months of 2014, many new bonds were formed for us, both in our personal lives & the business side. It was inspiration from these new found friends & connections which spurred Emily & I to create Bodhi-acious Babes to share our knowledge and skills with other people.

We are Being the Change we want to see in the World.
