I asked a manager, “I lead because ______.”
Most answers were solid.
Grow people.
Make profit.
Improve myself.
Then one manager said,
“For the families.”
“Every team member has a family.
If I’m unclear, inconsistent, or weak in my leadership…
their families feel it.”
That’s leadership at another level.
Real leaders don’t just think about profit.
