Hi, my name is Bee Alvarado, a Child Development Specialist and founder of Mother Earth’s Learning Center.

After more than 10 years of working with young children and their families, I’ve witnessed the growing impact of screens on early childhood. While technology has its place, I believe our littlest learners deserve opportunities to connect with something even more powerful, Mother Earth.

That’s why I created Rooted Beginnings: A Nature-Led Parent Guidebook (0–12 Months), a simple resource designed to help families get back to their roots through nature, connection, and meaningful experiences during baby’s first year.

My hope is that this guide inspires parents and caregivers to step outside, slow down, and discover the magic of learning alongside Mother Nature. 🌱

Why did I create A Nature-Based Parent Guidebook?

After more than a decade working with young children and their families, I’ve seen one thing over and over again:

Children thrive when they’re connected to nature.

I created this guidebook for parents, caregivers, and educators who want simple, meaningful ways to support their child’s development through play, curiosity, and outdoor exploration, without needing fancy materials or hours of prep.

Because some of the most powerful learning happens with muddy hands, open-ended play, and time spent outside. 🌎✨

Being immersed in nature has a way of reminding us to slow down and return to ourselves 😌

During my time in Costa Rica, I was surrounded by constant growth, movement, and life unfolding without urgency.

Pura Vida the locals call it.

It reinforced something I see again and again in my work with children and families: when we slow our bodies down, our nervous systems soften and connection becomes easier.

Nature offers regulation, presence, and perspective for both children AND adults.

Sometimes the most supportive thing we can do is simply let ourselves be held by it.

One Last Playdate of 2025! ✨🌿
Join Mother Earth’s Learning Center for our final community playdate of the year as we close out 2025 with JOY, CONNECTION, and PLAY! 💛

Bring your blankets, water bottles, and your little ones’ curiosity to Lake Murray Community Park on Sunday, December 14th from 3–5pm. Let’s gather, laugh, learn, and soak up some sunshine together. ☀️

We’re so grateful for our in-kind donation from Little Bellies, so we’ll have some yummy snacks available for the kiddos! And of course, Ms. Bee will be there to nurture connections through nature-based, play-based learning—giving parents a moment to breathe, chat, and enjoy community while the children explore. 🌱💬

Join us for our next Holistic Healing Workshop on Friday, August 9th | 6:30–8:30PM at a serene Peerspace in Banker’s Hill ✨

We’re honored to welcome Ariana of , a gifted light worker, who will guide us through a sacred cacao ceremony—a heart-opening ritual rooted in ancient tradition.

This experience is designed to gently reconnect you to your inner child and feminine essence through ceremony, movement, and mindful reflection.
