SSB is more than spending summer in a classroom.

Summer Springboard (SSB) is a pre-college summer program designed for high school students who want to explore their academic interests, experience college life, and prepare for their future. 🎓

SSB gives students the opportunity to dive deeper into subjects they’re passionate about while building confidence and independence along the way. This is done thorugh hands-on learning, real-world career exploration, and immersive campus experiences.

Students attend programs at top universities across the United States, where they can explore fields like medicine, business, engineering, psychology, law, marine biology, sports management, and more, all while living on campus and connecting with peers from around the world.

Hosted at universities across the U.S. and the U.K., SSB programs are built to help students explore their interests, gain real-world exposure, and get a taste of college life before it officially begins.

It’s part summer adventure, part future planning, and a chance to figure out what excites you most.

Dr. Roger Hall teaches history at Cal Poly and Allan Hancock College, where he is chair of the Social and Behavioral Science Department. He is the author of the textbook, West of the West: Perspective on California State History, currently. He was three times accepted into the National Endowment of the Humanities, Landmarks in American Democracy program.
