We are so excited to start our Art Corps program for the new school year, and we can’t help our future artists reach their potential without our dedicated parent volunteers! 🎨

Art Corps orientation will be after Friday Flag on Friday, September 20th in the MPR. Feel free to just stop by to learn more and have a cup of coffee, even if you haven’t signed up to volunteer! ☕️

Hi Art Corps volunteers! We have two workshops tomorrow (10/11) for lesson one:
Second grade at 8:15AM and Third grade at 9:45AM, both in the WWES MPR

Hello Westwood parents! We’re excited to start preparing for an amazing year of art education for our kiddos. If you’re new to Art Corps or WWES, this is a program where parents teach art fundamentals by bringing hands-on art experiences to our classrooms. You do NOT need to be the next Picasso to join the fun! 🎨

We need more parent volunteers to ensure a great experience for the year, so please stop by our table in front of the school, Friday, September 8th during drop-off to learn more. 🖼️🖌️

Greetings WWES families! The Art Program Team is happy to share with you free online lessons from our Arts Attack partners. In the attachment to this post you will find the Arts Attack site access and login information along with links to several great resources from Arts Attack. This is all totally optional and for individual use.

We are so sad that the Art Show has been put on hold at this time. The Art Lead Coordinators and PTA are working on options, but the highest likelihood is that it will move to early next year, based on current circumstances.

BUT! the PTA and WWES Art Program Team would love to see your creativity (from any artistic adventure!! ) shared here on this page. We sincerely hope these lessons are helpful and fun, but we know there are so many amazing artists doing all sorts of amazing projects, we would love to see them and share the joy!

Our warmest wishes and thoughts to everyone in these trying times. Be well and thank you all for the support of the Arts Attack program this year. It has been such a joy volunteering for these amazing artists!

Legos are the end all be all in our house and I don’t think I could ever put paint on them, but maybe some of you might love to. Let’s see see those masterpieces in the comments below!!
