It’s finally starting to feel like fall in San Diego and I am lovinggg it. One of the things I miss most about living on the east coast is the changing of seasons and the chill of fall air.
To be honest, I haven’t felt super motivated to spend much time upside down since Covid started and acro pretty much stopped. I’m trying not to beat myself up about it and recognize that it is just a phase. But it did feel good to do a few handstands again the other day in the park! Thanks .nelson for capturing the moment.
Anyone else feeling unmotivated these days?!

The devastation has felt overwhelming. Yet I realize that how easy it is for me, as a white woman, to turn my head and look away from what is happening in this country. I am aware that this, in itself, is white privilege, and that it is my responsibility to actively work to not take advantage of this privilege. It is my job to live in the discomfort, and to continue to educate myself about other’s experience. As we move forward, and the anger fades, and the social media posts slow, and life starts to return to “normal,” we all must continue to work together toward change. We all must work to not forget.

Today is my 32nd birthday (what?!) and I am thrilled to announce the launch of my new business:
I have spent the last 6 years pursuing my passion for acrobatics and have (mostly) loved every minute of it. (No, I’m not done :)) But recently I’ve been turning my focus toward pursuing another passion of mine: helping people cultivate healthy, vibrant lives.
Along with my degree in Psychology, I have gotten a life coaching certification and am about to complete a certification in holistic nutrition.
If you know me personally, you probably know that one of the things that I love most in this world is food. I love to eat. I love to cook. I love to think about what I’m going to eat for dinner while I’m eating lunch.
But for much of my life, my relationship with food has been complicated, as it has often conflicted with my other passion of health and fitness. For so long, it didn’t seem like the two could go hand in hand, but healthy and delicious foods are not mutually exclusive. Learning about the endless health benefits of eating more whole, plant foods has inspired me to explore countless plant-based recipes and discover an entirely new style of cooking with delicious results. I am thankful to have finally discovered a way of eating that still allows me to eat the foods that I love and feel good about my body and my health at the same time.
I’m beyond excited to offer my clients individualized support that is catered to their specific needs, such as meal-planning and prepping strategies, recipe inspiration, grocery shopping support, as well as overall accountability and counseling. My ultimate goal is to empower each client to make positive, lasting dietary and lifestyle changes.
For the next 3 months, as I get started in my new field, I will be offering free initial consults and donation-based coaching sessions.
If you, or someone you know, is struggling to get a handle on their diet, interested in switching to a plant-based lifestyle, or just plain overwhelmed at the thought of feeding themselves, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I would truly love to help.
Help me get this business off the ground!
That is my birthday wish!

The last time I posted (almost 2 months ago!) .loustau and I had just come back from almost 2 full months of traveling. We were so ready to be back in San Diego and stationary for a little bit. I guess we got what we wanted... The last few months have been weird and hard and uncertain but they have also forced us to step back from our busy lives, and to appreciate what we already have and to reassess and evaluate what we want. The world will be our oyster again soon, and I can’t wait to go tackle it once this all blows over!
Stay safe and healthy everyone. Hang in there. We got this! ❤️

.loustau and I just got back from a vacation with my family in Mexico. We’ve basically been traveling since December, and although we are ready to be stationary in San Diego for the next few months at least, I sure am going to miss those tropical waters 🏝
Props to Asís for basing me without warming up, after a week of sitting on our butts doing no physical activity 😂
Photo cred goes to my dad ❤️()
