He wasn’t done: “After this whole year of tariffs . . . have you been thinking to yourself, why didn’t other presidents think of doing this and not confiding in Congress when the Constitution says they have to? They did think of it. They thought it was illegal, so they didn’t do it.”

Maher finished with a savage closer: “Now the president says there are other ways he can get what he wants with the tariffs. I don’t know what they are, but . . . if you’ve ever been to Washington, D.C., and you’ve seen that majestic Supreme Court building, it’s going to make a lovely ballroom.”

The takedown is brutal: Trump’s “emergency” tariffs were always an ill-advised power grab dressed up as economic genius, costing Americans billions in higher prices while he screamed “winning.”

The Court, which he so methodically stacked, finally said no, and he threw a tantrum like a customer denied a coupon. As Maher said, Trump’s not a dealmaker; he’s a Karen demanding to speak to the manager when the manager is the Constitution.

Trump, along with the rest of the rich and famous predators in those files, should spend the rest of his life in prison. And even if he did, that would not balance the scales of justice owed by this degenerate monster.”

The final punch went straight to the chin of Trump’s evangelical fanbase: “And yet knowing all of this, there are still thousands of pastors and Christians who continue to give Trump their undying support. From a moral, ethical, legal, and spiritual perspective, how can these pastors and Christians not be party to Trump’s corruption? By supporting him, lauding him, defending him, excusing him, they are a party to his criminality.”

“They were supposed to deport the dangerous criminals. They were not supposed to go after small children, storm schools, bring terror upon the little kids and the women and children. . . . He’s pathetic as a president, and I just want to apologize to everybody in the country for supporting this rotten, rotten man.”

Asked by Brawner if he voted for Trump in all three elections, he confirmed: “I did. I was sucked into the stupidity of creating jobs, and there are no more jobs in New Mexico. Things are worse than they were before. You cannot find a primary care physician.”

A working-class New Mexican who drank the kool-aid is now publicly disowning Trump, calling him a liar, bribe-taker, racist, and pathetic. The promise of economic revival? Broken. The “deport criminals only” line? Exposed as a lie as ICE terrorizes schools and kids. The “honest outsider” image? Dead.

When even three-time Trump voters are breaking down in public apologies and admitting they were “sucked into the stupidity,” the emperor’s clothes are gone. The cult is cracking from the inside.

Johnny Greenwood and Paul Thomas Anderson came out swinging when they discovered that music plagiarism was part of the growing list of problems plaguing Melania Trump’s glossy vanity project.

According to The Daily Beast, the multimillion-dollar documentary Melania used music from Phantom Thread — an Oscar-nominated score — without the knowledge or approval of its creators. And they are not happy.

Director Paul Thomas Anderson and composer Jonny Greenwood released a joint statement demanding the music be removed immediately. “It has come to our attention that a piece of music from Phantom Thread has been used in the Melania documentary,” they said, noting that Greenwood was never consulted — a breach of his composer agreement.

In other words, they just took it.

The lifted track, “Barbara Rose,” originally underscored a scene of decadent collapse — a drunken benefactor passing out in a couture dress. Which, frankly, feels unintentionally on-theme.

The controversy is just the latest embarrassment for the Amazon-MGM-backed doc, directed by Brett Ratner, which has been face-planting at the box office. Despite a jaw-dropping $75 million budget (including marketing), the film has earned only $11.8 million domestically. After a brief opening-weekend blip, ticket sales collapsed by 67%.

Critics have been brutal. The Daily Beast’s Kevin Fallon called the film “terrible,” stopping just short of labeling it “an abomination.” Online ratings are a mess too — tanking on Letterboxd while mysteriously boasting a near-perfect audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Make of that what you will.

Now, even the film’s music is under scrutiny.

And here’s the kicker: Anderson and Greenwood aren’t obscure artists getting steamrolled by a giant studio. They’re respected, award-winning collaborators whose work was Oscar-nominated — and they noticed.

The Daily Beast reports Amazon Studios has been contacted for comment. So far? Crickets.

For a documentary meant to polish Melania Trump’s image, the takeaway is brutal: critics hate it, audiences fled, and now the soundtrack may literally be stolen.
