Our library is getting ready for our upcoming Book Fair!

A big thank you to our PVN parents for helping set everything up and getting our library ready for our students. Starting Monday, students and families will have the opportunity to stop by before and after school, and students will also visit the Book Fair with their classes during the school day.

We’re looking forward to seeing our students explore, discover new books, and hopefully find a few new favorites along the way!

Join us for our first English Learner Advisory Council (ELAC) meeting as we work together to support our students and strengthen our school community. During this session, we will share the overall vision for the council, review member leadership positions, and establish our meeting schedule for the school year.

We will also brainstorm ideas for upcoming events, including special discussions around our Dia de los Mu***os altar and multicultural festival. Your voice and ideas are essential to shaping these meaningful experiences, and we encourage families to attend and get involved. We will have pastries for attendees.

Fall sports season is back in full swing, and we’re bringing that same big energy to the library! 🏀🏈⚾

Join us for this year’s Fall Book Fair theme: Ready, set, read! We’re bringing in a fantastic lineup of Scholastic books alongside fun goodies for sale to help raise funds for our school.

It takes a village to pull off a win like this! We’d love for our parents and families to jump in and volunteer with us. Whether you want to help us decorate, greet families at the door, run the checkout, or lend a hand with setup and teardown, we’d be so grateful to have you! ☀️

Stop by the library before or after school 9/28 - 10/2 to score some new books! Feel free to send money with your student as they will go shopping with their class too.

Want to volunteer? Reach out to [email protected] for all the details.

Name art week was a huge success! It’s inspiring to see how a single project can be adapted to support the distinct developmental stages of each grade, using students’ creative expression as the main engine for learning.

Our kindergarteners practiced paintbrush control, fine motor skills, and pattern and shape creation. 2nd grade explored using lines to divide space into abstract compositions. 4th grade delved into color theory and blending techniques, and 5th grade focused on mastering line quality and contour. 🎨🖌️

Ms. Nikia is one of the first faces you see when you walk onto our campus, and she is a big part of what makes UDA so special and warm. She has been a part of the UDA community for 5 years, first as a parent and now as our front office clerk.

She helps our school run smoothly, knows every student’s name by heart, and is deeply loved by everyone here.

Thank you, Ms. Nikia, for bringing your energy, dedication, and warmth to UDA every single day!
