My mom passed this week after a long journey with Alzheimer’s.

The end wasn’t easy to watch. The body eventually gives up in ways that are humbling and raw. But I was able to sit with her, hold her hand, and tell her it was okay to go.

I told her I loved her. I told her she was a great mom. I told her everyone was waiting for her- and that I would be okay, because she had already given me the strength I needed.

A single tear rolled from her eye. She took one deep breath… and she was gone.

She lived a resilient life. Widowed twice. Lost my brother at 20 years old. Built beauty wherever she went. She didn’t collapse under hardship- she kept going.

Watching someone fade changes you. But so does watching someone endure.

Loss is the price of loving deeply. I’m grateful for the years we had- and grateful she is finally at peace.

Honestly, we can’t think of anything scarier…

This is where Epic began: this tiny studio in a vacant parking lot by the beach.

When started Epic Practice in 2009, he had no idea (only hopes) that it would EXPLODE into the first and biggest online training company in all of chiropractic. The sheer number of Chiros who have been impacted by these Modules is staggering, but the amount of people in their communities that have been helped by these teachings is even more so. It’s an honor we’re most proud of and is what drives up every day.
