Local author and illustrator Sendy Santamaria, creator of Yenebi's Drive to School, visited several EES preschool classrooms to read her book and share her experiences as an author and illustrator with our future writers and artists. What an inspiring day!

Today we celebrate Barbara Saxton’s 40th anniversary with EES. We are thankful for her enthusiasm, compassion, and deep commitment to supporting EES children, families and team members. With much gratitude and appreciation to Barbara.

All of us at EES are heartbroken over the passing of our friend and longtime supporter Bill Walton. His love for his San Diego community, belief that anything is possible, and generosity will never be forgotten. Bill spent many hours at EES reading to our students, distributing backpacks with school supplies, and handing out toys during the holidays. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife Lori, his boys and their wives, and his grandchildren. Our love will not fade away.

EES continues our commitment to support cross-culturally sensitive environments for our young learners. Congratulations to our team members who completed the week-long Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD) training!
