Ever wonder what keeps a therapist grounded when they aren’t in the therapy room? For Evelyng, it is a balance of high-intensity discipline and quiet stillness.

Here is a look at the passions that fuel her life and work:

- Daily Essentials: Strong coffee, with no exceptions.
- Active Focus: Finding discipline through Jiu-Jitsu and swimming.
- Creative Outlets: Getting lost in music and gardening to stay rooted.
- Nature: Drawing energy from the lush, wild landscape of the Nicaraguan Rainforest.
- Inspiration: Her favorite book, Hopscotch by Julio Cortázar.

Ever wonder what your therapist is up to when she’s off the clock? When Trang isn’t holding space for others, you can usually find her recharging with an iced honey cinnamon latte in one hand and a gripping thriller novel in the other.

She enjoys the small moments. Here’s what that looks like for her:
* Catching a golden hour sunset to help her reset and ground.
* Surrounding herself with fresh peonies (her favorite!) or testing a brand-new recipe in the kitchen.
* Finding her flow through a mindful walk or a Pilates session.

And she never goes far without her emotional support stuffed animal, Ewok, or a good story—she most recently enjoyed Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Get to know more about Trang by visiting our website: www.wellmamascounseling.com

For many, the vulnerability of pregnancy or the intensity of caregiving during the postpartum period can “reactivate” old memories or survival patterns. This is often called trauma resurgence. If you’re finding that your past is suddenly present in your nursery, therapy can help you untangle those threads.
At Well-Mamas Counseling, our team is specially trained to support you in shifting from simply surviving parenthood to truly thriving within it. We understand the unique challenges this journey brings and are dedicated to providing you with the necessary tools and support.

Here’s a little glimpse into what keeps our Clinical Lead, Dr. Heather St.Jean-Garcia, LMFT, Psy.D, fueled and balanced!

Fueled by London Fogs & Pizza
Current Reading- Anything by Ruth Ware 📖
Safe Space: Pilates reformer classes
Spirit Animal: Turtles (“slow and steady wins the race, right?”) 🐢
Self-Care: Massages at are her non-negotiable.

She is a self-identified “Overinvolved Mom”: Proud Tierrasanta Elementary PTO member, Yearbook Editor, and Room Parent Lead. If there’s a school event, she’s probably running it! Get to know more about her by visiting our website www.wellmamascounseling.com

We hear this so often in our practice. There is a specific kind of “stuck” that happens when the reality of transitioning into parenthood doesn’t match the image you had in mind. It’s heavy, it’s real, and it’s okay to name it.

Our goal at WMC is to help you move from that place of overwhelm toward a sense of security and safety. We’re here for the real, messy, intentional work of healing.

It’s a human thing. Partners, dads, guardians, we see you. When we talk about the transition to parenthood, we often focus solely on the person carrying the baby. While that support is vital, it’s only one piece of the puzzle. The shift into parenting affects the whole family system. If you’ve been feeling a lack of confidence or just “off,” that matters.

At Well-Mamas Counseling, we practice intentional care for everyone involved in the journey. The “village” isn’t just there to help with the baby; the village exists to hold everyone who is navigating the massive identity shift of becoming a parent. We’re here to help you build the security and confidence you need to show up as the parent you want to be.
