Went to the Salton Sea area this weekend. We visited "Salvation Mountain" near Slab City. This is the creation of Leonard Knight who's 27 year mission was to build this tribute to god. It is truly an amazing and special place to visit. He made it out of adobe he mixed himself, and then painted it with over 100,000 gallons of home exterior latex paint. Pictures don't do justice. You've got to check it out. It's only 2 1/2 hours east of San Diego.

Join me for a day at Torrey Pines. I'm honored to be one of the three San Diego photographers leading a walking photo tour at Torrey Pines State Park. The walk is on Saturday, May 7th, 4PM to sunset. rayatnight is this Saturday night, 6-10PM. This month I'm showing....me. I haven't shown at rayatnight for over a year. Come on by and see some new work from Yosemite, Death Valley and other trips. There should be some homebrewed mead for my friends. I hope to see you here.
