About last night. A little Christmas cheer with a life long best friend reminiscing about our journeys and making new friends.
Best food, best coffee, best server Garrett, best ambiance, best friends...simply the best of San Diego all wrapped up for the holidays. @ San Diego, California

A new author was super excited to have her proof copy in hand! All set to go and should be live on Amazon within 72 hours.
Emma Kilfoil wrote a childrens book complete with her own black and white illustrations (40 pages) in a week and a half (she got a late start).
Her story is about a sea lion with autism and how the ocean environment and changes impact him. She dedicated this book to her younger brother, Bryce.
This smile. This story. This accomplishment. It’s everything about why I love doing what I do as a writer, mentor, editor, coach. Congratulations to first time published author Emma Kilfoil.
Don’t fret we have more authors being revealed soon. I will post here as soon as Emma’s And all the other books are up on Amazon!
Here is her testimonial:
Chris Kelly’s summer camp has been a great resource in expanding my writing skills and writing process. Before the camp, I actually wasn’t a great fan of writing, but now that I have the knowledge of the process and how to publish it on my own through Amazon, I can’t wait to keep writing!

The difference between the top article and the bottoms article is 20 months.
The bottom by line is missing the word “contributor”. Why?
Because during that 33 months I went from writing for free (contributor defined The Huffington Post, a platform which they no longer extend to writers) to a paid, professional, freelance writer.)
In fact, I was hired as a staff writer within 16 months of having my first real piece published by someone other than my own blog or website. BUT even this was SIX years after I published my first book.
Could I have moved the process along quicker? Absolutely.
Why didn’t I?
I allowed life and distractions to derail my dreams of being a professional writer. I didn’t have a coach to help me through the hard patches. I let go.
But...I don’t give up.
Now, as a professional writer/journalist I also help others hold on and move in their dream without the gaps I lived.
