The triumphant fist of one of my 17 day old twins after rolling over to her back for the first time!
Reflection on where I've been. Even a self imposed prison can be a place to heal. At a very low and painful time in life I imprisoned my self in many ways. Mentally I was locked away for certain, emotionally I was raw and open, so I physically placed myself in what was a form of a prison. During that time I reflected and thought about me, who I wanted to be, how I had gotten to that low place and how I would move on from that place when I felt ready. I've long since moved on with much gratitude for the lessons about myself that I learned during that time. It was good to see the space empty and being prepared for yet another use.
I recommend to anyone reading this, reflect a little daily and act on the lessons you learn from reflection to avoid having to fall so low that reflection is all you are willing to have in the moment.
Many blessings to you on your journey for closing thy self and loving thy self.

What the Hail!
Hail in San Diego! The storms have been pretty intense the last few weeks for San Diego. Now having grown up in Chicago I should shut my mouth, the worst rains I've seen here are barely average for the midwest. But wait.... that's why I'm here! I like the easy weather and blue skies. Hopefully, the county is collecting/directing enough of the water to bring our water tables back up to average because I am guessing it's going to be a long while before rains of this nature return.
Your journey is what matters. 45 years on this planet as of the 19th and I have at least 55 more in my mind. It's time to be more aware of the journey each and every day. I urge you to do the same look for ways to improve in small and big ways each day. Celebrate your wins big and small. Celebrate your failures big and small for there's a lesson to improve in each failure. Be present in your own journey and you will be present for everyone else's journey around you. As a speaker you may say the same speech 1000 times, if you focus on the journey you will deliver it with the same power and passion as you did when it was fresh and made you nervous to deliver. That focus on the journey will ensure those audience members who need your words get the right medicine. Create the world you most want to live in today with your thoughts, words, and actions.
Go forth and speak with ease!

LOL! I have had my fun! Someone may have noticed the 'stache was gone in the family picture I posted earlier. Well. Here's the final fun progression of the disappearing mustache! Hope you guys enjoyed the wacky journey as much as I did.

Not much of a difference in this 'stache reduction, just a little higher. This is how I wore it in college. Oh but the next one.....
