I (36m) found this in my daughter's (29f) room. Is she doing co***ne?

Handyman messed up door installation. We had a handyman install a brand new door at my office and we noticed that he used cardboard to behind the hinge. The job overall is messy and looks bad. What can we do to fix it?

This was at the GW bins. I left it with the cashier, didn’t want a kid to get hurt with goodness know a what that was.

Okay let me school some of you guys. As a server they make $5 hr which they typically work anywhere from 4-7 hrs a day $20-$35. So their kids live/survive off the tips. So if you don’t want to tip at least 18% do the servers a favor stay at home or eat fast food. Don’t get me wrong not all servers give great service but I’d never not leave a tip or leave just $5. You’d be pi**ed if your job only paid you half your check and they work just as hard as anyone else. If you ain’t got no money keep your broke ssa home! Rant over 💁🏽‍♀️

This Chipotle says half their DoorDash orders just sit there because nobody tipped. 😭

Like bro… why doesn’t DoorDash just pop up a warning that says, “Without a tip, your food might chill here longer than your relationship lasted.” 💀 The solution’s right there.. people just need a little reality check before they hit “Pay.

Today is my tenant’s move-in day and she immediately called complaining about the garage being messy. She asked if I was coming to clean it I said no. Then she asked if I was sending someone still no. The rest of the house is spotless, it’s just the garage! I told her if it bothers her that much, she can clean it or hire someone to do it. Then this entitled woman had the audacity to say if I don’t clean it, she wants to cancel her lease and get her deposit back. 😒 Umm, no ma’am my deposits are non-refundable. If you can’t afford to pay someone to clean a garage, how are you going to afford monthly rent? Make it make sense! Tenants nowadays want to rent but don’t want to take care of the property. I’m the landlord I collect the rent. You’re responsible for maintaining the home.

I don’t usually make posts like this, but last night was one for the books. You ever have a dinner where everything about the service ruins the whole experience? That was me last night.

From the second we sat down, the waitress had an attitude. No smile, no “how are you guys tonight?”, just a heavy sigh like we were ruining her night by even showing up. I brushed it off at first because maybe she was just having a long shift. But then it got worse.

She took our order like it was a chore. We asked a couple questions about the menu and she acted like we were bothering her—rolling her eyes, cutting us off, and walking away mid-sentence before we even finished talking. Drinks? Took forever. Refills? Forget it. Plates? Thrown down on the table like she was in a rush to leave. At one point, she actually snapped when I asked politely if we could get silverware because, surprise, none was brought out.

The kicker? The food was fine, but the way she hovered with the check before we were even halfway done eating made it feel like she was trying to rush us out the door. No thank you, no checking in, nothing. Just pure attitude from start to finish.

Now here’s where it gets funny: the check came out to almost $500 after their “non-cash adjustment” fee (don’t even get me started on that little scam). Then at the bottom, it suggests I tip her ANOTHER $100+ on top. After the way we were treated? Absolutely not. And trust me, I tip well when someone actually does their job—but last night she earned exactly what’s written on that receipt: ZERO.

People always say “you have to tip no matter what.” I disagree. A tip is earned. A smile costs nothing. Respect costs nothing. And if you can’t bring that bare minimum to the table, don’t expect me to fork over an extra $100 just because it’s customary.

I didn’t leave a tip, and I don’t feel bad about it one bit. Some might say I’m petty, but I say enough is enough. If you treat your customers like trash, don’t expect them to pay you like royalty.

What do you think—am I wrong here, or was I right to finally take a stand?

Tell me why my kids accidentally put a hole in the wall… and my landlord got the NERVE to say I gotta fix it 😒. Like be for real. I’m renting, not owning. That’s YOUR property, not mine.
I pay rent on time, keep the place clean, even fix small stuff myself… but now you want me to be a contractor too? 😂 Nah. Kids live here, accidents happen. You want a museum, don’t rent to families.
As long as I’m paying rent, any holes, leaks, or breaks…

My husband works for a farmer who is going to be letting us stay in this house for free. It sat empty for a few years and, prior to that, had an old couple living there that didn’t take good care of the place. They put some money and work into the house and it’s feeling better, but as an anally clean person, I’m feeling worried that it will never be clean enough.

They fixed the roof and made sure there wasn’t any more water leaking, but just painted over the moldy ceiling with mold blocking paint. The room with most of the mold on the cabinets is attached to the basement and there isn’t a door between them. We have a dehumidifier running in the room almost constantly. She cleaned up a lot of the mold on the cabinets, but there’s still a lot that I’ve noticed on doors and trim and other places that I’ve mentioned, but I think will fall on us to clean.

I had taken all the light switch covers off to paint and she had put them back on while leaving bugs and dust that had accumulated in the switch box in there. I also randomly bumped into a counter and it moved, so I decided to fully move it, and there was piles of mouse p**p and even a long-dead mouse.

If anyone has advice on cleaning up large areas of mold, cleaning old houses in general, any tips on things that I may overlook and forget to clean before moving in, or just reassurance that I’m not going to die from living in a house that’s imperfect, that would be wonderful.

What idiots gonna repair that fascia of a ladder at 50 degrees 🤦🏻‍♂️

Why would there be two layers of drywall between condos- soundproofing? Neighbors water heater blew up and I need to repair but just trying to think why they would have doubled up on the drywall.
