Help us gather supplies for the beginning of the 2020 school year for the kids that need them!

We are looking for donations to buy supplies, supplies themselves and help organizing the kits, and dropping them off!

Christmas time isn’t easy for families who are displaced. Most places offer food and gifts for children but often times there are other needs a family has that aren’t covered. Additionally teens and other family members often don’t have gifts for them at gift drives. For this holiday season we are raising money for gift cards for displaced families at Raphael House. There are two ways you can help:
1. Make a donation of any amount (see comments for how to do that).
2. Buy a limited edition giclee print of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by me, Jhina Alvarado. Each print is 11”x14” and signed and numbered for $75. 100% of proceeds will go to buying gift cards. Please see comments for a link on how to buy one.

We are handing out gift cards on the 18th so please have donations and orders in by the 17th.

So many happy people receiving whistles. It really is heartwarming when you give someone a whistle and they give you a big smile and say thank you. I wish there wasn’t a need for these whistles but I’m thankful we can give out so many. So far 3,500 have been passed out with so many more being prepared to be distributed.

Here are some pics of our awesome volunteers passing out whistles to our Asian community!

With all the worry for your Asian American elders, Jhina Alvarado-Morse came up with another amazing and thoughtful idea: to provide whistles with breakaway chains (avoiding strangulation issues) to hand out to senior citizens. If you would like to help order whistles, assemble bags or distribute please let us know!

Each whistle will have a safe chain, a bag and a note in translated in several languages explaining the purpose of these items.

Thank you in advance!

Hi friends! We are doing so well with the school supplies coming in! If you haven’t had a chance to order anything - think about it this way:
For $18 you can supply 9 kids with dry erase markers and for less than $40 you can supply 25 kids with dry erase boards!!!!

Hello friends and supporters! With Math being so important to our kids futures and basic skills- we'd love to try this week to ensure that we get 100 graphing calculators for our high schoolers! It's tough to pass an advanced high school math class without this! The ones we have on our Amazon Wish List are $99.99 and will cover the kids throughout high school and even into college.

If you are able to share this with friends that maybe can pitch in- it is greatly appreciated! And if you know if a similar function calculator elsewhere you would like to buy that works too, you can PM us for shipping information.

And lastly, if you can't do a calculator, whatever you are able to purchase, it all helps. A pack of notecards is less than $10 and we still need a ton of these too!
