Live Into Your Genius

So I recently got certified as a Magnetic Mind Transformation Coach, and as I started to build my business, I recollected all the ways I was hindered from starting a business online. Just setting up the infrastructure was somewhat convoluted, as earlier attempts had me piecing together the systems of just capturing leads, publishing marketing messages, setting up a calendar to schedule appointments, setting up a membership site for my tribe, and setting up an email service to be able to communicate with my peeps, and on and on and on... So overwhelming!!!

Well, I was thrilled to discover I no longer had to piece together a business like a Dr. Frankenstein of sorts, but I could have a fully integrated, all-in-one platform that I could start using for FREE!!! Crazy, right?! I could test it out for free without even needing a credit card, and if I wanted to really grow my biz, I could keep using the platform at a fraction of what it would cost to piece together everything I needed anyway.

If you've wanted to start an online business and understand the value of using funnels, websites, webinars, membership sites, shopping carts, and webpages, then maybe this product could save you thousands of dollars each year... Feel free to check it out and play with it, with no cost or obligations.

Welcome to Groove.cm, the definitive platform for all your digital marketing needs. From building funnels to automating emails, e-commerce, and more. Trusted by over 850,000 users. Experience the power of Groove - No credit card, no trial, just FREE

Today’s challenge was to look at my life and create a Not-To-Do list (in addition to my To-Do list).

“When you say Yes to one thing, you are saying “No” to another.” Dean Graziosi

There are lots of things that suck my time, like binge watching shows or eating junk food or hanging out with negative people that robs me of energy. I’d rather say ”YES” to a vibrant and thriving business where I can enthusiastically share my passions with others.

So if I can start to make even just tiny adjustments in my daily habits, I’ll be much further ahead in the long run, and it makes me want to make more adjustments in my habits until the person I see in the mirror is completely transformed.

What would be on your Not-To-Do List?

Today’s challenge was to look at some of our negative thoughts and replace them with thoughts more empowering.

I started reflecting on a relative who has been very hostile towards us. While it would be easy to think negatively about her, I daily have to come back to forgiving her, sometimes multiple times a day. Forgiveness is really for my benefit if I want to be the best version of me to the world.

I would like to be be better at being accepting of all people, wherever they are at. I would like to accept this relative with compassion and peace, knowing that beneath her hostile exterior is a broken and wounded child just wanting to be loved and accepted.

I’m learning the best way to stop a negative thought is at the emotional level, before the emotion takes on a meaning for my brain to latch onto. it’s easier and faster to change your state on the emotional and energetic level than it is to change once that emotion becomes a thought you assigned to the emotion.

Like if I feel frustrated or disappointed or unsafe, before i assign a meaning to that, I can pick up my cat for an extra dose of love and care, or I can take a nap or take an epsom salt bath or listen to positive music or something to make me feel better in the moment. It really does help.

The thing is, not every thought I think is true, and I don’t have to let my brain fabricate a thought from an experience where I’m projecting pain or hurt because someone triggers me. And I can chose the thought and meaning I assign to that feeling or experience as well.

What about you, what negative thoughts have consumed your day or week and how can you turn them around for more empowering thoughts? Post your response below and/or join me on this challenge.

Today’s challenge was to look back on this week and identify something that went wrong and discover what could be learned from the experience.

As I thought of a family member who has been trying to sue us with multiple frivolous and unmerited lawsuits, I realized that there are many things in life I cannot control. I cannot control the actions or thinking of another person. The only control I really have is over my responses to those actions that seem to seek my harm. How I handle adversity is fully within my control, especially when I come from a place of strength and not see myself as a victim.

My relative’s toxic behaviors do not have to control me. My strengths and worth are independent of her or any situation or crisis that come my way.

What problem are you facing this week and what can you learn from it?

One of the challenges earlier in the week was to focus on and list what I’m actually good at,(I.e., my strengths). Sometimes we get caught up in the daily grind with different challenges that we forget to be grateful for and embrace what we’re good at. We take our strengths for granted. I like this challenge because it reminds me I do have something of value to bring to the world. And so do you.

Yesterday, I had the honor of experiencing a unique fusion of two healing modalities put together by a couple of friends from my Mastermind Group.

Both of my friends have a unique gift of accessing the subconscious mind to discover and eliminate money or success blocks and limiting beliefs. One used the Emotion Code. The other used Theta Healing.

It was somewhat surprising to see what showed up for us in the group. Some things we expected or suspected, and others we didn’t.

What was nice about the group session was that as we were all getting individual attention, the others were also able to benefit from experiencing the healing of others in the group.

But it really got me thinking about the subconscious mind and how powerful it is. Stuff was coming up for us that wasn’t even ours originally, but passed on from generation to generation. I started understanding how truly interconnected we are at the super-conscious level.

I’m learning that the subconscious mind is truly the one running the show of our lives. It has us going through life on auto-pilot without understanding the extent of our limiting beliefs or the trapped emotions keeping us stuck.

The subconscious mind is wonderful for keeping our hearts beating and our lungs breathing, and our legs and feet standing or walking and hand and fingers moving with dexterity, all automatically without extra brain power or energy for thinking. It makes for a much more efficient way of existing and being.

But the subconscious mind only knows what it is programmed to know. Unfortunately, is incapable of deciding and filtering out which beliefs serve us and which don’t. It cannot distinguish the impact of “You suck!” vs “You’re amazing!” on our lives.

We all randomly received most of our programming very early in life through our parents and siblings and teachers and churches and communities. Some of our programming we inherited from our ancestors. And some programming comes from emotional or traumatic experiences.

Fortunately, we have a conscious mind where we can also decide how we want to reprogram our minds, and we also have the power of imagination and creativity, to create more positive beliefs and create different results in our lives. We actually have the ability to control the outcome of our lives.

We can reprogram our minds however we choose because of a beautiful capability of our brain for neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to re-pattern or form new neural pathways of thinking).

Most things in life are simple to accomplish. The reason most people don’t achieve what they set out to accomplish all comes back to beliefs.

What beliefs are holding you back from what you know deep inside you were meant to do?

I used to be super shy in high school. I really didn't like feeling invisible, but that was my reality, or so I thought.

One day, as I was driving up to my first day on college campus at UCSD, a thought came to me, "No one here knows you are shy. You could be anything you wanted to be and no one would be the wiser...". At that moment, I decided I would be a socialite.

It worked. I smiled and laughed a lot, was engaging, making a lot of friends, and no one except friends from high school knew I was shy. Or was I?

Was I really shy? Or was I really a social butterfly?

What if my shyness was just the perception I was programmed to buy into and the real me blossomed or rather emerged from her cocoon in college?

Whatever the case, it showed me I had the power to change my personality in an instant, at will.

We have the power to change our perceptions in a moment, and our perceptions can change the course of our lives.

We can never out earn or out perform your perception of ourselves. Our self-perception determines the actions we take, the words we speak, the thoughts we think, our interactions with the people we encounter, and therefore our level of success in life.

What we can do, however, is change our perception of ourselves, much like an actor takes on the persona of the character they are playing.

So if you could think of a movie character or superhero that exudes the character traits you want to have in your business, who would that be? What if that character was to embody you, how would you show up differently in your business, with your clients or prospects, in your relationships?

Give this a try for 24 hours. And then post here what you observe about yourself and how others respond to you. I'd love to hear your experiences.
