What if getting older isn’t something we’re supposed to fight?
There are mornings when I look in the mirror with messy hair, an unwashed face, no makeup, gray growing in…and I find myself genuinely loving the woman looking back at me.
Not in a “look at me” kind of way.
More like…Wow. I get to be here.
I’m no longer the size-eight model.
I’m no longer the professional Polynesian dancer.
I’m no longer the young doctoral student balancing school, a baby, and a full-time job.
I’m no longer trying to be Superwoman in a blended family with five children while caring for an aging mom.
Those were beautiful versions of me.
But I’ve earned this one. Karen, Version 5.7.
She’s had a LOT of bugs and program updates. 😂
She has wrinkles, sunspots, gray hair, a softer body, comfortable shoes, flowing clothes, and considerably less interest in conforming to what anyone else believes this age should look like.
And I love her.
Because underneath all of that is something I didn't have in those earlier years:
A deeper sense of peace.
Presence.
Trust.
Authenticity.
And the ability to simply sit beside another human being without needing to prove, perform, rescue, or fix.
So today, I invite you to look back at the beautiful, messy, extraordinary life that created the person you are right now.
Maybe instead of looking for what needs fixing, you can pause long enough to appreciate what you’ve earned.
Every wrinkle.
Every lesson.
Every ending.
Every beginning.
Every version of you that got you here.
❤️ Much love to you and your journey through this amazing experience called life.

Did you know that cats sense energy, emotion, and even you on a deeper level than you realize?
Strawberry, the feline guardian of The VillaVision Wellness & Retreat Center, is more than just a cute face, she’s our resident energy reader and nap enthusiast. 😻
The other day, she intuitively decided to keep my hypnotherapy table “warm” for the next client. But maybe, just maybe… she was also:
✨ Tuning into the emotional field of the room
✨ Picking up subtle shifts in frequency
✨ Acting as a grounding force for transformation
✨ Offering her purrs to gently clear energy
✨ Holding space like the little healer she is
In honor of International Cat Day this past weekend, here are a few more purr-worthy truths you may not know about cats:
🌈 Cats can see ultraviolet light—giving them access to a whole world of energy we can’t see.
👂 Their hearing range goes up to 64,000 Hz—way beyond human perception.
👃 They can smell changes in your mood by picking up shifts in your pheromones.
🌬️ Whiskers are like energy radar, sensing air currents and movement with uncanny precision.
🧍♀️ They often avoid people with “off” energy and gravitate toward those who need support.
💞 They form intuitive, emotional bonds, especially when you’re feeling low or healing.
🐱 In many cultures, cats are spiritual messengers or protectors from negative energy.
🔊 Their purring vibrates at healing frequencies, possibly promoting cellular repair and relaxation.
So next time your cat “randomly” stares at a wall or curls up with you during a hard day, know this: they might be sensing something more than meets the eye. 💫

I’m so excited to be back at the eWomenNetwork ICON conference this week to reconnect with the energy, meet new people, deepen relationships, and, of course, have a whole lot of fun! ❤️
The last time I attended ICON was two years ago, when I roomed with my dear friend Monica Von, former Managing Director of the Las Vegas chapter. We laughed...a LOT. 😂
Today, this memory popped up of Monica and me together and it reminded me just how much can come from a few days at ICON.
When I look back, three things in particular came out of that experience:
✨ An opportunity to speak at a conference in Connecticut—which has since evolved into me co-facilitating the Grief Awareness & Education Conference, now going into my second year.
✨ Meeting one woman who introduced me to another woman who has become a dear mentor in my journey into the world of quantum hypnosis.
✨ Reconnecting with women from our own San Diego community and creating deeper friendships and relationships.
And those are just the things I can easily trace back to ICON.
Because ICON was so much more than a conference. It was more than learning from Sandra, Brianna, Kim, and the incredible speakers. It was about the conversations in the hallways. The laughter. The introductions. The unexpected connections. And getting to know amazing women who are going places in this world, many of whom have built businesses from a genuine passion for using their gifts to help others succeed.
You truly never know where one conversation or one connection might lead. ❤️

I'm embracing my "Middle Ages" and all the wisdom, growth, and unexpected adventures that come with this season of life. ❤️
I've learned that every chapter has something to teach us. Some lessons arrive through joy, others through grief, and many through simply saying "yes" to new experiences.
Today, I'm less interested in perfection and more interested in presence. Less focused on proving myself and more focused on living with purpose.
This season isn't about slowing down. It's about stepping more fully into who I was always meant to be.✨
If you're ready for that too, DM me to explore the possibilities.

You are meant to live a full and wonderful life. 💛
Sometimes grief makes us question that.
Sometimes painful relationships, difficult seasons, or experiences that leave us feeling unseen can make us forget who we are and what we're worthy of.
But your story doesn't end with your pain.
Healing doesn't erase what you've been through. It helps you reclaim the life that has always been waiting for you on the other side of it.
Whether you're grieving a loved one, navigating a major life transition, or finding the courage to step away from an unhealthy relationship, know this:
𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲.
You were meant to heal.
To rediscover your strength.
To experience peace.
To live fully.
Take one small step today toward the life you deserve. Even the smallest step is a powerful act of hope.
You are worthy of joy. You are worthy of safety. You are worthy of a full and wonderful life. 🌿

✨ Four Years Ago, I Said Yes to a Whisper… ✨
Sometimes the biggest moments in our lives don’t begin with certainty. They begin with a quiet knowing that it’s time.
Four years ago, I stood at one of the biggest crossroads of my life. From the outside, everything looked good. I had spent decades building a career I loved, helping tens of thousands of people transform their lives.
But deep inside, something was calling me toward a different path.
A path that couldn’t be fully explained…
Only felt.
It meant trusting my intuition more than my logic.
Listening to my heart more than my fears.
Believing in a vision I couldn’t yet see.
So I took the leap!
That leap became The VillaVision Wellness & Retreat Center
Over the past four years, I’ve watched this little piece of land become something I never could have imagined.
I’ve witnessed people arrive carrying heartbreak, uncertainty, grief, trauma, self-doubt, and questions… and leave with hope, clarity, connection, and a renewed trust in themselves.
I’ve watched strangers become lifelong friends.
I’ve watched people reconnect with their intuition, discover strengths they never knew they had, and remember pieces of themselves they thought were lost.
And perhaps the greatest gift of all…I’ve grown right alongside every person who has walked through these gates.
Looking back now, I realize that VillaVision was never just about creating a place.
It was about creating an environment where people feel safe enough to reconnect with who they truly are.
To everyone who has been part of this journey, whether you’ve attended a retreat, experienced a Quantum Journey, trusted me as your guide, volunteered, encouraged me, or simply cheered from afar…
Thank you! ❤️🙏
You have helped breathe life into a vision that continues to unfold in ways I never could have planned.
Here’s to four beautiful years…
…and to trusting the whispers that have the power to change everything. 💙
