The South East Atlantic Branch (SEA) of Empress Chinchilla Breeders Cooperative (ECBC) is getting a reputation for its amazing raffles. Our VP Amy and Secretary Lyn spend the months before the show reaching out and asking for donations.

One of our biggest donors for the show last weekend was Little Pals of Chin Pals fame. They went above and beyond to help us make our show a success.

Little Pals makes chews, shelves, and enrichment items that are safe and attractive to your chinchillas. Made for chinchillas by (someone who knows) chinchillas!

Please check out their goodies, and support a chinchilla friendly small business!

A note from me, Kate Spicer. Thank you to each and every one of you that not only made this show happen, made it fun, and had fun with us, but for pitching in and making hall clean-up a dream. Lots of folks stayed, lots of folks cleaned, and we had that hall sparkling and everyone on their way by 4:00pm. This made it possible for Scott and I to hit the road a day early and get in front of the storm.

We were originally going to head out on Sunday morning, but multiple members came to us to show the degradation of weather conditions forecasted for Sunday morning along our route. We drove until midnight on Saturday, stopped in NJ, and hit the road at 06:30 Sunday morning. The blizzard warning for NY began at 10:00, and while we hit some fog/rain/snow in NYC, the rest of the trip was smooth sailing, and we made if safely home Sunday at 2:00pm.

*This* is one of the things I absolutely adore about the chinchilla community: the care presented for others. Without the help, care, and consideration of the members of SEA, there is a very high probability we would have been stranded somewhere on the way home.
