Helping culturally curious students from across the globe apply to the right universities and programs in the UK, Ireland, Australia, NZ and beyond G'day!

My name is Sara. I'm the founder of College Apps Abroad and a Certified Educational Planner (CEP), one of only 40 in California. As the admissions scene in the U.S. continues to become more and more complicated, competitive and stressful, I am pleased to help culturally curious students from across the globe do something different... and that is, to find and apply for the right universities and pr

I had the pleasure of attending the University of Glasgow’s largest Open Day in recent times last week.

Around 14,000 students came to check it out!

Honored to be part of the inaugural North American Advisory Board at the University of Glasgow!

(And the only independent educational consultant, too 😌)

Excited to help this amazing institution and team achieve its goals!

It's that time of year when I love to check in on first-year students completing their degrees abroad! I was so pleased to hear that Eleanor is enjoying her time studying architecture at Newcastle University.

Her advice for future students is to try and build good relationships with your flatmates, as they can become like your family.

Taking advantage of opportunities to make yourself known to your professors and tutors too is extremely important so if you do ever need extra support, you’re much more likely to get it when your professors and tutors recognize you.

Can't wait to see what else is in store for you!

I absolutely loved the campus of the University of Leeds and the fact that Leeds is such a student city.

It has a wonderful mix of architecture that comes together to make a really nice overall campus feel.

Personally, I could spend hours in the Brotherton Library; it really gives Harry Potter vibes.

King's College London is a comprehensive university offering courses in the humanities, sciences, medicine and more.

It's a regular on the college lists of many Americans, but it's also competitive when it comes to admission.

Students should expect to present at least three AP exams and a high SAT/ACT score.

Worth trying though -- because it offers quite a unique student experience with a high quality education.

And if your goal is to study in central London, there's no campus more central than the beautiful and historic Strand.

When we first met, Simone she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, but she wasn't sure whether it would be possible to be admitted to a vet med program straight out of high school. We worked together to carefully plan her classes and AP exams, analyzing all the possible programs in the UK and Ireland to fit her criteria.

She ended up receiving multiple offers, and although it was a tough choice, she's now off to The University of Edinburgh!

It has been my pleasure helping you, and I'm so proud of all you've accomplished!

Is there a more unique place than Berlin?

It is a place that truly captivated my soul with its rich history, diverse culture and dynamic atmosphere.

Constantly undergoing change and development, Berlin stands as a testament to the resilience of its people and commitment to creating a peaceful, inclusive community.

And for international students looking to break into the music, film or acting scene in Europe, BIMM University Berlin is an amazing option.

It's a close-knit community whose industry-facing lecturers leverage their professional experiences and connections to help nurture the next generation of talent.

Trained on state-of-the-art equipment, graduates are highly employable and ready to go from day one.

Leiden is no doubt one of my favorite universities and cities in the Netherlands.

I loved soaking up the history as I walked through the streets, checking out the nearby Keukenhof Gardens, navigating the low bridges whilst onboard a canal cruise, reading the various poems painted on sides of buildings -- and more.

It's very much a student city, but it's also super close to Amsterdam for those wanting a big city experience on occasion.

And throughout its nearly 450 years of history, the university continues to do a great job equipping students with the skills and knowledge to improve the societies of today.

It's safe to say it was a very successful admissions cycle at both the undergrad and postgrad levels!

Whether it was the city's unique architecture or its picturesque canals, this vibrant place really drew me in.

With lots of live music gigs, a number of museums and many ties to literature, Utrecht is bursting with culture.

I just loved the canal life -- as well as how close it is to Amsterdam (in case you wanted an even faster pace).

And Utrecht University's city centre campus fits in perfectly, with its beautiful, historic buildings from centuries past and highly-regarded degrees.

The IE University campus in Segovia is incredibly unique.

Surrounded by history and nature, it's the perfect place to study architecture, design or environmental science.

It also makes for an easy transition to life in Spain, allowing students to get their feet wet in a small town before moving to one of Europe's most populous cities in Year 3 potentially.

I really can't think of another institution offering a comparable study experience.

IE is not only one of the top universities in Spain, but it's also a well-known brand internationally.

And if you're still not sure, just think -- when will you ever have the opportunity to study at a university with a castle view?

IE University Madrid is one of those places you just have to see for yourself, particularly if you enjoy sustainable architecture.

If I were a student here, I would be excited by the fact that walking into the Tower almost feels like going to work every day -- and that there is always the possibility of bumping into the CEO of your future employer in its elevators.

The option of spending two years in the gorgeous town of Segovia as part of the degree is incredible, too.

IE is the real deal in terms of preparing graduates equipped to meet the world's latest challenges.

Students are not only highly employable in the Spanish job market -- but they are also a dominant force around the world.
