MEMBER SPOTLIGHT!

MEET ERIN:
Erin is a 2nd year in the SLP MA program who aspires to work with adults in either a rehab clinic or hospital setting. Her favorite part of the lab is that there are so many study options to choose from, and that each study is interesting in it's own way. She has always been interested in the topic of language function in the brains of those with and without brain damage. Outside of the lab, Erin loves being active! She plays beach volleyball, and goes salsa dancing. She also recently learned how to snowboard.

This Wednesday, one of our doctoral students, Carolyn Baker, presented her research on encoding and retrieval interference during speech processing in neurotypical and language impaired populations!

we can’t wait to see what she does next !!

MEET NILOO:
Niloo is a 6th year PhD student who has aspirations of becoming a full time researcher and instructor. Her favorite part of the lab is the friendliness of the peoples she works with and the variety of research opportunities. Outside of the lab, Niloo enjoys biking, traveling, and cooking.

Do you or anyone you know speak Persian? We’re looking for Persian speakers to participate in a new study. This study is a collaboration between the Language and Neuroscience Group and the Bilingualism & Cognition Lab . Findings will help us create critical baseline knowledge for our work with Persian speakers who have aphasia.
