The Ergo Expert TheErgoExpert: Providing Ergonomic Education, Productivity, and Comfort to your Work Space. Servic The Ergo Expert transpired from the Covid pandemic.

Our 10 year company, Two Hands Wellness Events had to close our doors multiple times because of the mandated closures in CA. Because of the growing virtual community, I wanted to help the Work from Home community and educate in pain prevention and bring awareness to mental health through our services. The Ergo Expert: Providing Ergonomic Education, Productivity, and Comfort to your Work Space. Ergonomics is the study of people's efficiency in their working environment. Because we come in all different shapes and sizes, ergonomic education is important. We provide different services like: 1-1 Ergo Assessments, Group Assessments, New Office Set ups, and a Train the Trainer Program. Because a majority of the community is at home, we also wanted to help support any kind of mental state that may arise. Therefore, we created "Brain Breaks" for our Corporate clients. Brain Breaks consist of stretching, breathwork and meditation. When we are all able to center and ground ourselves, we are able to become more creative and see things from a different perspective. As passionate as I am with preventative education through ergonomics, it has been a challenge because some are unaware of their ergonomics while working. Some say that their WFH situation is temporary, so they "tough" through the pain because they will be back at work soon. It's been about a year since the beginning of the pandemic and we all have a "new norm". Working from home might be a permanent "norm" for some. NOW is the time to take care of yourselves and those around us. To help bring awareness and ergonomic education to light, I started to the new brand: The Ergo Expert. I want to make ergonomics sexy, fun, bright, and exciting. I am teaming up with interior designers and local companies to spread the word of Wellness.

Do your hips feel stiff the second you finally stand up from your desk? 😩

Sitting for hours can keep your hips in the same position for too long, leaving your muscles feeling tight and your lower body ready for movement.

Stand up. Stretch. Walk around. Try this quick movement and give those hips a break from sitting.

Your best posture isn’t one position all day. It’s your next position.

How long have you been sitting today? 👀 Save this for your next desk break and send it to your coworker who needs the reminder too.

Think your regular mouse could never be part of the problem? 👀🖱️

Using a mouse for hours with your wrist bent, reaching too far, or repeating the same hand movements can add stress to your wrist and forearm. While Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can have multiple causes and risk factors, your everyday mouse habits and workstation setup are still worth paying attention to.

An ergonomic mouse can help by putting your hand and wrist in a more comfortable position and reducing unnecessary reaching or awkward wrist angles. From vertical mice to centered options like the RollerMouse, the right choice depends on how you work.

What if your chair isn’t the only thing affecting how you feel at work? 👀

Ergonomics goes beyond desks, chairs, and posture. Your entire work environment plays a role in how comfortable and focused your workday feels.

🌿 Plants can make a space feel calmer and more inviting.
☀️ Better lighting can support visual comfort and reduce distracting glare.
🎨 Color can influence how stimulating or calming a workspace feels.
🔊 Unwanted noise can compete for your attention and make focusing harder.

Sometimes creating a better workspace isn’t about buying another ergonomic product. It’s about paying attention to the environment around you.

Which one could your workspace use more of: plants, better lighting, color, or a little more quiet? Tell us below, then save this for your next workspace refresh. 👇

What if better ergonomics didn’t have to cost you anything? 👀

Some of the biggest wins come from the habits you repeat every day, not the gadgets you buy.

Move more often. Look away from your screen. Bring your setup closer to you. Change positions before your body starts complaining.

Small adjustments like these can make long workdays feel a lot more manageable.

Which one do you need to start doing more consistently? Save this post, pick one habit to try today, and send it to someone who spends way too much time at their desk.

Ever notice how you keep reaching to the exact same side of your desk all day? 👀

Your mouse is there. Your phone is there. Your notebook is there. Suddenly your whole workday becomes one long series of little reaches and twists.

Those small movements may not feel like much in the moment, but repeating them for hours can add unnecessary tension through your shoulders, neck, and upper back.

A simple fix is to create an easy-reach zone. Keep the things you use constantly closer to the center, then move less-used items farther away.

No new equipment. No complicated setup. Just smarter placement.

Quick desk challenge: look at your workspace right now. Is everything piled on one side? Move your 3 most-used items closer to the center and see how it feels. Save this post for your next desk reset.

Are you drinking enough to keep up with those hot San Diego days? ☀️🥝

Water matters, but when you’re sweating more than usual, your body also loses electrolytes like sodium and potassium. These minerals help support fluid balance, normal muscle function, and nerve function, which is why replenishing them can be helpful during hotter weather or after activity.

This homemade electrolyte drink keeps it simple with kiwi, cucumber, coconut water, a little honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt for a refreshing hydration boost.

Hydration doesn’t have to be boring. Sometimes your water bottle just needs a little upgrade. 🥒🥥

What’s your favorite way to stay hydrated when San Diego heats up? Save this for your next hot day and share it with someone who always forgets to drink enough water.

TOP TIP: Your shoes are part of your ergonomic setup too. 👠

Do your heels look great at work but leave your feet and back complaining by the end of the day?

High heels shift your body forward, which can change how you stand and walk. Over time, that can add extra stress through your feet, calves, knees, hips, and lower back, especially if you’re wearing them for hours.

You don’t have to give them up completely. Try alternating with a flatter, supportive shoe, taking short movement breaks, and giving your feet more recovery time during the day.

Are your work shoes supporting you, or are you just pushing through the discomfort?

Save this Top Tip and share it with someone who practically lives in heels.

Ever switch to a standing desk and think, “Perfect. Problem solved.”? 😅

Then a few hours later, your feet are tired, your legs are shifting nonstop, and suddenly standing all day doesn’t feel quite as “healthy” as you expected.

That’s because the goal isn’t to replace 8 hours of sitting with 8 hours of standing. Your body usually does better with variety.

Sit for a while. Stand for a while. Take a short walk. Stretch. Change positions before discomfort becomes your reminder.

A standing desk is a great tool, but movement is what makes it work better. We recommend the 30-30 rule. 30minutes sitting and 30 minutes standing and alternate throughout the work day.

Are you switching positions throughout your workday, or accidentally staying in one spot for hours? Tell us in the comments. 👇

Do your legs ever feel like they just can’t get comfortable at your desk?

If you’re constantly shifting, crossing, tucking one leg underneath you, or searching for somewhere to rest your feet, your setup may be asking for more support.

Over time, those habits can contribute to uneven pressure, stiffness, fatigue, and extra tension through your hips and lower body, especially when your feet aren’t well supported.

A footrest can give your feet a more stable place to land and make it easier to sit comfortably throughout the day. One option we like is the AMERIERGO Foot Rest, which features memory foam and two adjustable heights so you can fine-tune it to your setup.

Would your feet feel better with a little more support under your desk? Comment “FOOTREST” and we’ll send you the product link.
