Donald “Chip” Pugh, a wanted man from Ohio became an internet-famous example of a criminal accidentally helping police catch him.

In 2016, Pugh was wanted by police in Ohio and Georgia in connection with several offenses, including DUI, vandalism, and arson.

Police released his mugshot/wanted photo on social media and asked the public to help locate him.

Pugh apparently saw the photo and thought it was unflattering. Instead of ignoring it, he contacted police and sent them a selfie of himself, essentially suggesting that they use the better-looking picture instead.

The selfie went viral and attracted a huge amount of attention to his case.

Ironically, that attention worked against him. People began recognizing him and sending tips to police, which helped authorities locate him in Florida.

He was subsequently arrested.

Apparently it's fake or a public stunt for attention and Zoey might be Ian's alt account because the profile picture of Zoey was a model before the comments became famous meaning it was changed. Also Ian began engaging and commenting in posts talking about him saying "Oh that's me, pure aura" which leads to many saying that it was a public stunt for attention.

With an estimated budget of around $150 million, it's Worldwide box office is only about $760,000. It earned less than 1% of its production budget back in theaters, an extraordinarily poor return.

The film starred Anthony Mackie, Ben Kingsley, and Aiysha Hart, and was directed by Rupert Wyatt. It suffered from years of delays, reported creative disagreements during post-production, limited marketing, and a very weak theatrical release, all of which contributed to its poor performance.
