Land and thrive in your dream job. Hey there, I'm Mel. I’m passionate about career change because I have done it myself.

I know what it takes to find the pathway to a career you love and create a life you've only dreamed about. With 10 years of success in the ever-evolving landscape of Microsoft and Amazon, I've worn many hats and reinvented myself multiple times. From academia to retail, to corporate marketing and the fast-paced world of Big Tech, I've seen it all.

But here's the thing - despite embodying buzzwords like "demonstrative growth," "insightful leadership," and "change-agent," I've felt the sting of stagnation, imposter syndrome and burnout. I get what it's like to yearn for more, to crave alignment with your values, and to feel unsure about your next steps.

That's where I come in. As your guide and confidante, I'm here to help you redefine your career journey with clarity, purpose, direct feedback and a hearty dash of tech-savviness.

Picture this: a future where your work aligns seamlessly with your values, where you feel inspired and fulfilled every day. It's not just a dream – it's within reach. Together, we'll peel back the layers, uncover what truly lights you up, and craft a roadmap tailored to your unique aspirations. Whether you're looking to pivot within tech or explore new horizons altogether, I've got your back.

So if you're ready to break free from the status quo, let's chat. Your next chapter starts now.

Incredible three days at the Female Founders Summit - my heart is full and I can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned. Being in community is amazing!

A hard lesson I’ve had to learn (and relearn):
I can say I want clarity, change, momentum...

But if my actions don’t match, nothing changes.

Every time I feel stuck, I come back to this question:
𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗜 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁?

It’s a gut punch—but also a release.
Because it puts me right back in the driver’s seat.

What about you?

That shiny Ferrari might turn heads, but it won't carry your groceries or your friend's mountain of luggage.

It's the same with job searches.

A prestigious company may look impressive, but is it right for you?

Too many folks get captured by the flashy name without considering what truly aligns with their career aspirations.
[been there myself - jumping from one BigTech company to another 👀]

In my latest video, I dive into how this mindset could be stalling your progress—and share strategies to discover roles that genuinely match your goals, skills, and values.

Ready to craft a career plan that's all about clarity? Drop me a message. I've helped many find their path, and I'm here to help you too.

What if the difference between where you are now and your dream job is just one small step away?

So many people with their job search and when we get chatting it's usually because they’ve got most of the “ingredients”
but they're missing a thing or two.

But like leaving butter out of cookies, you can't skip the right ingredients in your job search.

In the video, I break it down and share how to figure out what’s missing so you can get back on track.

If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, this is for you. Check it out, and let me know what you think. 🍪

"Tell me about yourself"

If ever there was a question that raised candidates's blood pressure it's this one.

For some interviewers it's an easy opener - meant to get the conversation started

For others, it is a way for them to learn the highlights of your career.

But here's the problem - how do you know?
You don't.
And the number one mistake I see is candidates reciting their resumes.
Wasting this fantastic opportunity to present a curated highlight reel that showcases exactly why you'd rock this role.

Check out the video to how.

TMAYs aren't just for interviews - they are perfect for introductions and networking conversations too.

When someone tells me, “I’m just waiting for a promotion,” my favourite response is:

“What’s going to change?”

It’s a simple question—but it uncovers a deeper truth.

🎥 In this video, I explore:
✅ Why promotions rarely bring the life transformation we expect.
✅ The hidden cost of chasing “what’s next” without asking what really matters.
✅ Better questions to guide your career, like:
- What do I actually want from my work?
- How am I growing and learning?
- How does my career fit into the life I want to build?

If you’re feeling stuck, burnt out, or caught in the “next step” cycle, this one’s for you.

Stop chasing things that you don't want

We've all been there, swooping in to handle the unwanted project, or agreeing to a job interview for a role that we can do in our sleep and doesn't align with our passion.

Why?

The thrill of being needed or desired - it's intoxicating. But it's also draining.

✅ Define your requirements.
✅ Know your worth.
✅ Understand what you're building toward.
🚀 And once you have that, chase it relentlessly.

Easy to say? Yes
Hard to do? Also yes

If you find your path blurry, want to sort it and start running towards things you ACTUALLY want - DM me. 🔥

10 years in big tech taught me one crucial lesson: If you don't drive your career, no one will.

In an industry where everyone chases the next big project, it's easy to get swept up like a leaf in the breeze.

But here’s the harsh reality—if you’re not actively thinking about where your career is going, no one else is.

The paycheck might be hefty, but if your passion is MIA and you dread going to work, what's the point?

You need to own your career path. No one else will ensure you're engaged or fulfilled. They’ll take what they can, but it’s up to you to make sure it’s worth it.

Your career deserves more than just floating on the breeze.

Let’s reignite your passion together.
