Mathnasium of San Clemente

Mathnasium of San Clemente At Mathnasium, we teach math in a way that makes sense to kids. We have over 700 centers worldwide; v

Mathnasium teaches students math the way that makes sense to them. The Mathnasium “Method” focuses on tutoring students in kindergarten through 12th grade that need help in improving their understanding of basic math concepts and improving their school grades. Parents typically enroll their students for 6 to 12 months and the students will visit the learning center 2 to 3 times per week. With math

illiteracy at an all time high and college and technical careers becoming increasingly competitive, parents want to be able to give their children an advantage. An initial assessment test is given to each student and then a custom learning plan with appropriate worksheets is created for each student. Qualified instructors that love math and enjoy teaching kids are available at the center to assist students during their weekly visits. Mathnasium provides a unique teaching method that helps kids catch up and get ahead in math, while making the subject fun and engaging. The Mathnasium Method, continuously developing and improving, is the life’s work of Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer. Having been a teacher and math-teaching consultant in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years, Larry brings his first hand experience of helping thousands of kids to deal confidently and effectively with mathematics to the Mathnasium program. The Mathnasium team is committed to helping children grow their interest and confidence in math and prepare them for a successful college education and career in technology, business, finance, medical, manufacturing, science, biology, or other fields that require strong math skills.

Does long multiplication homework sometimes end in frustration? You aren't alone! 🛑✋

Memorizing the steps is one thing, but understanding why we do them makes all the difference. When we move to Step 2 and multiply the tens place, that placeholder zero is absolutely crucial! It reminds us that we aren't just multiplying by 2; we are multiplying by 20.

Save this post to use as a quick reference guide during your next homework session! 📌
