Introducing Our Board Member.
DR. ELENA SHERMAN CALL.
About Dr. Elena;
of gait in Parkinson’s disease. Her clinical interests include deep brain stimulation, Huntington’s disease, spinocerebellar ataxias, dystonia, and advanced palliative care. She enjoys participating in medical student and resident education.
Outside of movement disorders, she is passionate about the healthcare of underserved communities. She has managed the Arbor Free Clinic and taught neurology in Kumasi, Ghana. She serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Sue and Charles Bergoff Foundation for Lewy Body Dementia and the Kaiser Santa Clara Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Dr. Elena got involved with the foundation as a mentor through the Strong Roots Mentorship Program in 2022.
She is originally from San Diego, CA, and lives with her husband, two children, and two cats in Belmont.
