📚 In Every Head There Is a World.

On this episode, we sit Across the Table with Ms. Roxann Hurtado, San Benito Schools Secondary District Teacher of the Year, for a conversation about teaching, relationships, resilience, and the lasting impact of showing up for students, day after day.

A lifelong reader turned educator, Ms. Hurtado shares how a journalism degree, her father’s encouragement, and a commitment to never give up on a student have shaped her 12-year journey in education.

From the lessons students have taught her to the seeds she continues to plant, this conversation is a beautiful reminder that teaching is about so much more than what happens inside a classroom.

And at the heart of it all is her father’s enduring advice: “En cada cabeza es un mundo.” In every head, there is a world. 💜💛

⏰ Arrival: 6:40–6:50 AM
🚶 Walk Begins PROMPTLY: 7:00 AM

This will allow our scholars to enter the building, enjoy breakfast, and begin their regular school day on time.

📍 PARKING FOR FAMILIES:
Families may park in the field areas located on the right side of the school. Please DO NOT park in the staff parking lot or in front of the school, as we want to avoid traffic delays and ensure our staff can enter campus safely.

🗺️ OUR ROUTE:
We will meet and begin at the entry gate at the front of the school. From there, we will walk along the sidewalk, turn onto Ramsey Road, continue into the parking lot, and finish at the front entrance of JODLF.

Once we reach the finish, scholars will begin entering the school while families walk back to their vehicles and begin exiting campus.

Check out the attached map for our complete route! 🗺️🐾

We can't wait to see our Jaguar families walking together and showing their school spirit! 💙💛 Bring those signs, wear your Jaguar gear, and let's make some noise for JODLF! 📣🐆
