At Riverside Middle School, community care was on full display this morning as 40 families received ingredients to prepare spaghetti with meat sauce, along with a recipe to enjoy together at home. 🍝❀️

This campus food pantry is a new initiative designed to support our families and ensure students have access to resources that help them thrive both in and out of the classroom. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of Communities In Schools of Cameron County and Methodist Healthcare Ministries for helping make this distribution possible. Partnerships like these strengthen families and nourish our community one meal at a time. πŸ’œπŸ’›

Last week, we hosted our annual FACE Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. πŸŽ‰ The event coincided with National Volunteer Appreciation Week, making it an even more memorable occasion.

We enjoyed spending time with our parent volunteers, sharing a meal, and acknowledging their contributions to our district with awards. We appreciate the presence of our campus principals and district administrators, especially Mr. Alfredo Perez, our Superintendent of Schools, who expressed his heartfelt 🫢gratitude to our parents.

We had a successful year providing engaging sessions and events for our volunteers and community members. We are excited to expand and host more exciting events during the 2026-2027 school year! πŸ’œπŸ’›
