San Benito CISD is participating in the USDA Seamless Summer Food Service Program!
Children and teens 18 years old and younger can receive FREE summer meals at the locations listed below. No registration or ID is required.

This summer, BISD Adult Continuing Education - ACE will continue to offer ESL classes at the Landrum Education Complex. π« Mr. Manuel Cruz will host registrations next Tuesday, May 26th, for interested community members, starting at 8:30am. These classes are provided free of charge!

At Riverside Middle School, community care was on full display this morning as 40 families received ingredients to prepare spaghetti with meat sauce, along with a recipe to enjoy together at home. πβ€οΈ
This campus food pantry is a new initiative designed to support our families and ensure students have access to resources that help them thrive both in and out of the classroom. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of Communities In Schools of Cameron County and Methodist Healthcare Ministries for helping make this distribution possible. Partnerships like these strengthen families and nourish our community one meal at a time. ππ

If your family has been affected and you are experiencing housing instability, please know support may be available through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act program.
If your family has been impacted, please contact your school FACE Parent Specialist or district McKinney-Vento liaison for assistance and additional information.

Last week, some of our FACE staff attended the Region One Education Service Center Parent & Family Engagement World Cup Summit. β½οΈ Their participation in the sessions and commitment to gaining meaningful, relevant information will contribute to strengthening and enhancing our districtβs parental involvement program. The staffβs dedication to continuous improvement and family engagement is greatly appreciated! ππ

Last week, we hosted our annual FACE Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. π The event coincided with National Volunteer Appreciation Week, making it an even more memorable occasion.
We enjoyed spending time with our parent volunteers, sharing a meal, and acknowledging their contributions to our district with awards. We appreciate the presence of our campus principals and district administrators, especially Mr. Alfredo Perez, our Superintendent of Schools, who expressed his heartfelt π«Άgratitude to our parents.
We had a successful year providing engaging sessions and events for our volunteers and community members. We are excited to expand and host more exciting events during the 2026-2027 school year! ππ
