We have truly been blessed for the last 8-10 years to have had Fanita Barkalow and Lauren McLaurin as some of the best Speech therapy staff that there could be. Congratulations on your retirement Fanita!!! It is so well deserved! And Lauren we are so happy you get to spend this time with your beautiful girls!! We will miss you both deeply but forever our friends and work family!

We were honored to visit our Jubilee Academies campuses in the valley this week, teach CPI, see our amazing staff and be greeted with such warmth, amazing treats (Jubilee Livingway), a beautiful lifeskills classroom (Jubilee Leadership) and a professional cooperative spirit at every campus. SASPC Special ed teacher training today truly felt all-in Co-operative. Thank you to all our great teachers for really actively learning here in SA, online or in RGV! 🫶 Region 20 led a Q&A on Dyslexia, Jubilee Academies director Catherine Crawford trained on SDI strategies and SASPC trained on TEA news and compliance, STAAR accommodations and IEP Page by Page Reminders!

Another great sped teacher training at the Co-op! This time we were honored to have region 20 teach us the ABCs of folder audits. All 9 districts truly worked together and grew as one! Even our valley teachers together at Jubilee Academies Livingway.

Our BEST Educational Diagnostician giving the BEST service at our Jubilee schools in the valley. Sofia has been employed with SASPC for over 6 years, is bilingual, is fierce at yoga, Peloton and boating off south padre with her husband and beautiful 2 children- Sofia (15) and Nolan (5).
