Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the unveiling of the completed mural at Lanier High School created through the UT San Antonio Artist in Residence Program in collaboration with student artists, Art Teacher Jennifer Arce, and internationally recognized muralist Rubio. 🎨✨

This powerful piece reflects the culture, history, and spirit of San Antonio’s Westside community while continuing Lanier’s long tradition of muralism and student artistic expression.

We are incredibly proud of the amazing work and dedication shown by these student artists and grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, including Rubio, Jennifer Arce, and Kim Bishop, Program Manager for Young Artist Programs.

Congratulations to all involved on this meaningful and inspiring accomplishment! ❤️

Don’t miss out on Rubio’s Exhibition at on view from June 27 through October 4.

Last night, we celebrated the incredible creativity, growth, and hard work of our Teen Studio Intensive students at the 2026 Carousel Exhibition. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Russell Hill Rogers Galleries to support these talented young artists and help make the evening so special. ✨

We are beyond proud of this year’s TSI students and the amazing work they shared throughout the exhibition. A special congratulations goes out to this year’s graduating seniors as they begin exciting new chapters ahead.

This year’s seniors have been accepted into an incredible range of programs, including the University of the Incarnate Word, Cornell University, Kansas City Art Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, Northwest Vista College, and three students heading to UT San Antonio.

No matter where their paths lead next, we know their creativity and talent will continue to flourish, and we cannot wait to see what they accomplish.

If you missed the exhibition opening, there’s still time to experience their work — the gallery will be open again this Saturday. We encourage the community to come out and support these remarkable young artists. 🎨

Printmaking is everywhere, from streetwear graphics and band posters to stickers, album art, skate culture, and indie design.

It’s a bold, hands-on art style that turns carved designs into repeatable prints full of texture, pattern, and personality. 🎨✨

This summer our Cutting Edge Prints summer arts class teaches teens ages 14–18 to carve linoleum plates, ink and layer colors, experiment with textures and patterns, and create original prints completely their own.

🖌️ June 1–5, 2026
⏰ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This summer, try a different kind of art class and create bold prints full of color, texture, and your own personal style.

We recently received this “thank you” video from the Fine Arts Academy at Edgewood High School, and it’s a reminder of why we do what we do.

Hearing young artists share how this experience has impacted them means everything.

A special thank you to artist Paola Sanchez for the time, talent, and care brought into the classroom, and for the teacher Joann Limon for all that you do.

Through the Artist in Residence program, professional artists collaborate directly with students, creating space for hands-on learning, creative exploration, and real-world artistic insight. It’s about more than technique, it’s about helping students see what’s possible for themselves.

We’re grateful to be part of something that creates space for expression, growth, and inspiration.
