Community registration opens Tuesday, August 11 at 9:00 a.m.

Due to continued severe weather, flooding, and anticipated additional rainfall across the San Antonio area, UT San Antonio is cancelling all classes including youth programs and camps scheduled for Thursday, July 16.

Our apologies for this short notification and unfortunate inconvenience this may place on your family. Out of an abundance of caution we are canceling Thursday’s sessions of Summer Art Studios and B-Movie Camps, following the University’s policy.

These programs will resume on Friday as scheduled.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday for the B-Movie Cinema Premiere and helped celebrate the incredible work of our young filmmakers.

Throughout the week, these creative storytellers took on every step of the filmmaking process, from developing ideas and storyboarding to filming, editing, and bringing their visions to life on the big screen. Along the way, they built skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and creative storytelling while discovering what it takes to make a movie from start to finish.

Watching families, friends, and fellow creators experience each film together made the premiere a memorable celebration of their hard work and imagination.

Congratulations to all of our student filmmakers, and thank you to our talented instructors and supportive families for helping make this experience possible. We can't wait to see what stories our next generation of filmmakers brings to life!

The beautiful Elizabeth Huth Coates Chapel was filled with creativity as families, friends, and instructors celebrated a week of artistic exploration by our Summer Art Studios students.

From Make Your Mark, Freestyle Weaving, and Bold Prints, to Caricatures, Draw It, and Multi-Media Masterpieces, each display showcased the imagination, dedication, and growth of our young artists throughout the week.

A special thank you to our talented instructors for inspiring creativity every day, our families for supporting these young artists, and, most importantly, our students for sharing their incredible work with us. Seeing your confidence and creativity shine is what makes these Friday Showcases so special.

We can't wait to see what next week's artists create!

🏙️ Ever wanted to design your own city, build giant cardboard creations, or imagine what the future could look like?

This summer, students ages 11–14 can explore architecture through hands-on art and design classes with UT San Antonio Community Arts.

Using model-building, sculpture, drawing, cardboard construction, and creative city design, students will experiment, invent, and bring big ideas to life. ✨
