It's our Fall Break Friday, so you know what that means....it's time for Dad Joke of the Day!

Q: Why could the bride not get married at the library?
A: Because it was always booked! 🤣

Happy Fall Break, CHE Family! ❤️🤍💙

We will use our rain dismissal process today, Thursday. Please stay in your car lane we will bring your student(s) out to you. Please, do not come to the door to pick up. You will be asked to return to the car line.

It appears we may be in for a very wet arrival and dismissal for the next couple of days.

At arrival or dismissal, depending on the weather, we may not have Patrols to assist with students exiting the car. Please have your child exit the car safely and proceed to our porch area to come into the building. If you feel like you need to assist your child with arrival, please park and use our crosswalk.

Please be patient with our staff as we ensure that your students are getting home as safely as possible. We may need to move to an indoor dismissal like we did the first day of school depending on the severity of storms at dismissal. A decision will be made by 2:00 each day and communicated via Dojo, social media, and text messages (same email address as newsletter).

For students who are walking home and you would like to switch them to a car rider, you have until 2:00 to notify the front office and classroom teacher of that transportation change. You will also need to communicate this by 2:00 to ensure we know they are not to walk home in the heavy rain.

Continue to watch the weather to make the best decision for your family. Also, check the NEISD website and social media posts for updates.

NEISD is closely monitoring weather forecasts and local conditions. 🚌🌧️

Due to the potential for flooding and possible unexpected road closures, our school bus drivers will exercise extra caution to ensure student safety. This may result in delays or adjusted routes. The safety and well-being of our community remain our highest priority.

We appreciate your patience and encourage everyone to use caution when traveling in affected areas. Please check the NEISD website at neisd.net and follow social media channels regularly for real-time announcements and updates.
